Yeah, the finale was great! I loved this show ever since it started.
So they are making a movie of Downton Abbey anyone planning on watching it?

(I feel like people who are already in this thread know this, but I just feel like I should note for anyone else who stumbles on this thread unknowing. Downton Abbey is not family-friendly. Please use caution and/or discuss with parents before watching.)
I am hoping to see it though, potentially.
Okay it's been four years (or more) and I haven't watched it.

Same! But then I only watched the series for the first time in 2018-19 so I had to finish it first.* And then 2020 happened and everything went crazy. And all the DVD shops have closed down since then, and buying DVDs online here is complicated ,so I really haven't had a chance to watch it.
*I say "finish" but my history with Downton Abbey is a teeny bit more complicated. I was in the UK from 2011-13, when new seasons were airing and everyone was talking about the show. But I knew I'd get hooked and needed to focus on my studies so I intentionally avoided it (my new Doctor Who obsession was enough). I still remember everyone going crazy about the Season 3 Christmas Special (especially after our minister had mentioned in a sermon a couple of weeks before how Christmas Specials are always fuzzy and warm and give you happy feels - which slightly distracts from the real truth about Christmas). I didn't remember this until after I watched the episode, so it was still a pretty big shock - until I looked up what year it aired and realised that that was what everyone was talking about. Anyway, a couple years later, I was back in the UK around Christmas 2015 and staying with a friend's family. They were deciding what Christmas specials to watch as a family and Downton Abbey was the only one everyone agreed they wanted to see. So the first episode I ever saw of the series was the very final episode. I was so confused. 😀 All I remembered of it, though, was that this one was fuzzy and happy-feels with all the couples you wanted to get together getting together, and all (or most of) the resolutions you wanted. But it didn't spoil me for watching the show a few years later because I'd not really retained much of what happened or even who the characters were,(like I didn't even remember who Mary was with).
Once a daughter of Eve. Now a daughter of the Second Adam.
The diffrence is I've got it on one of the streaming sites being paid for (I think haven't checked) but haven't gotten to it yet.
