these days are really rainy, with occasional sun in the middle. Welcome to the Northwest! It is like this half a year, almost.
No Gulf Stream heat where I'm at. 🙂
And that is perhaps S of 55°N too?

Ideal for half an hours walk - if you are sure to have a shower and tea when you get back in!
Indeed, it is. The Northwest is well known for unending rain, concluded with more rain, and more rain. The problem with rain is that it gets really muddy in the country here.
It finally snowed here. We normally get snow halfway through October, but I think we're going to have another mild winter this year. Boo.
It's been really foggy here, mornings. And yesterday was spider day, meaning the day of the year when there are spider webs floating all through the air. (I'm not sure why it happens, but it happens every year. I should probably find out why.) So this morning the fog had coated all the spider webs on the ground and they looked so cool!
@hansgeorg: *shrugs* I pay almost no attention to latitudes and longitudes, so I'm of no help there.
Let us see, I think I am.
Niagara falls is 43° 05′ 00″ N 79° 04′ 14″ O
So Malmö would be Canadian latitudes, not US. Actually even Paris is Canadian latitudes: 48° 51′ 24″ N 2° 21′ 07″ E.
And Malmö is "one month colder" than Paris. Jan/Feb Paris = weather like Dec/March Malmö, Dec/March Paris = Nov/April Malmö ... June/Sept Paris = July/August Malmö.
July and August in Paris are so hot they don't exist in Malmö any month, and January and February in Malmö are so cold they don't exist in Paris any month.
Oh, by the way, I don't know latitudes by heart, I am using wickipeejuh, or rather its counterpart la wikipédie.
Same source tells me ONE state of US is inclusive of Malmö latitude: Alaska. It is also inclusive of the Luleå latitude. Actually, Alaska goes further north than Sweden. Alaska ends up at 71° sth N, Sweden is at 69° sth N. However, Norway continues further up.
NEW EDIT : and Germany goes further South.
South limit of Alaska is about a bit further South than Hamburg in North Germany.

(@Jaygee: wrong thread 😉 )
I suppose she means the day was rainy?
@Ariel: Oops. 😉
It's snowing. Never in all my life have I seen it snow. 😀
Really, Ela? 😯
*nods* I've seen snow on the ground before, (had to travel hours to see it, though), but I've never actually seen the snow come down from the sky. My reaction was akin to Lucy's when she enters the wardrobe for the first time.
*grins* Welcome to my world, Ela. 😀 I've got snow in my part of the world too. Not much and later than usual, but lovely white snow.
