I'm missing the weather from the country. There's not much of it in the city. 🙁 Although we did have a sprinkling of snow that lasted about 5 minutes yesterday.
:patpats: well, it hasn't snowed at all around here yet, so you're not missing all that much. although we did live, what, a half hour away from each other? was the weather usually different?
No, it was just that there was, you know, wind and rain and different things like that. Oh, and storms! We haven't had a good thunderstorm here yet. The only weather I don't miss from the States is the tornadoes.
yeah, especially living where you did/i do. tornado warnings all. the. time. :dies:
IT FINALLY SNOWEDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm really excited. first time this winter.
Ahh we keep getting very very minor snowfalls here in the corner of the NW.
Thankfully no rain, but temperatures are a major LOW.
We got a bunch of dry snow today. 😀 Roads weren't ideal, but even when I slipped on an icky patch, God kept me safe!
Same here.
There was so much snow and ice on the roof, a corner of my room was soaked and the drywall was removed from part of my wall. My brother had it worse in his closet and some of his items are damaged from the water. Also appears as if it has gone down to the base floor and garage. Fun!
The weather say that out here we are supposed to get a good pile of snow, and then tons of rain. No surprise.
So exciting for all those of you getting snow. It's summer here, so no snow (doesn't even get cold enough to snow in winter in my city). We had a string of crazy hot days over the new year weekend, but the last couple have been cooler and there has been a lot of rain yesterday and today.
I used to complain about rain but the whole country has been in drought conditions for the last two years so now rain is precious. I especially like this continous slow-falling rain. The trend last year was a couple months of little to no rain followed by a sudden day or two of deluge in which all the rivers and roads overflowed back to months of nothing. Summer is the season we get most of our rain so it's looking like a good start to the season and year.

@Ajjie: That's good! I hope it keeps up for you!
@Ela: Yikes! That's worse than what you told me last night!
Apparently some parts of my greater area may experience -40* before windchill next week.
@Ela: Oh...lovely. You're not alone in the swamp-room thing, though! I can clean up all the water in my closet/porch and by the next morning it's covered again.
