That's so exciting, Teeny!!!!!!!!
This is random but hello everyone! I was so happy to browse the forum and see fellow superhero lovers, Doctor Who, and Once Upon A Time fans! This is basically a small yelp. I've noticed my character Eirlys is a tad bit of a Mary Sue and I desperately hate it and want to change it. I won't reveal any spoilers for my story but I know how more or less it's going to end. My problem is, I don't want to drag it out and have tons of fillers. I don't want Eirlys to be the heroine (because in reality, she isn't). I just need ideas to keep the story going but without the fillers, fillers can be alright but I just want to keep it interesting.
Hmm......since we're trying to avoid spoilers, the best I can suggest is combining scenes that can be combined. This will cut down on the length and keep your readers clipping through the story at a fast enough rate that they won't wander off.
(On a side note, y'all, I just realized that today [well...tomorrow, technically, but in Korea, which my laptop clock is still aligned to, it's today] is my 6th TLC anniversary. There have been so many years that I missed my anniversary... *passes around cake and other happy food to everybody*)
@Netty: Yeah, we tend to be into a lot of things around here. π
Regarding your story character, Iβd suggest giving her flaws and agency (the ability to take action and affect the story, rather than react to events as they come). These will build her as a character, give her personality, and allow us to get to know and care about her. (Perhaps if youβd like to discuss this more, we could take this to a writing thread.)
@Hobbit: Happy TLC-versary! *throws confetti and inflates balloons*
@Hobbit Woo!!! Happy anniversary!
Thank you both for your help!
A bit late, but Happy TLCversary Hobbit!!! π *makes Hobbit a flower crown*
Is anyone else a Count Of Monte Cristo fan?
Never come in contact with the story myself.
Oh I see. Lol so much geeking out and no one to geek out with XD
I have the impression this forum is pretty dead right now...
He does all things well.
Yeah, things are very quiet these days.
It's...quiet, yeah. I'm not able to be here as much as I wish I could...
Alas, the business of growing up! Haha. Nah, itβs all good.
Who knew, getting older means you have less free time! Amazing. π
π Right?! What happened to all the free time I had as a kid? (jk, I know where at least a portion of it went.)
