I've been doing alright. Getting a bit of drawing done now and then.
Nice! ^_^
I've been meaning to get back on my drawing. Have a new OC idea stalking around my brain. I'm feeling a little off my game though.
What have you been drawing? What kind of ideas get the creative juices flowing for you generally?

Nice! Not the best at artistry, so you kind of picture in your head what an OC would look like.
I've been drawing some stuff for Tolkien fandom events, Lily, and there are a couple of commissions I need to get to work on as well. It's a bit annoying because my creativity levels have been kind of low for a few months.
What kind of Tolkien fandom events?
Hoping to get some good friend time next week. π
I am so full of drawing ideas for the art fair I am hoping to join in September. <3 I've been having a dry spell on art for awhile so it is super nice to have an incentive to be back.
Thatβs exciting, Lily! Especially since the ideas are flowing!
Yeah! ^_^ It's church-organized but it looks like it might actually be a good size one based on the interest we're seeing so far. Some of the artists who are already committed have experience with the big annual art festival locally, and we're talking about bringing in food trucks... it could be really neat. And either way it will be just my third time doing live sales with strangers present so I am excited.
I think I have enough backlog I could stock a booth even without fresh merch? But I *want* to have new things to share, and I have time enough to get on that.
I also need to brainstorm with some people on appropriate price ranges. I keep getting told I am underpricing with the time and materials that go into my stuff, but I am confused how far to raise my prices without scaring people off.
Oh wow, that does sound promising! Especially with all the interest garnered and the experience of those whoβve done things like this before. Will they be the ones whose brains youβll pick on the matter of pricing?
I'm not really in contact with the other artists who've signed on yet. Mainly I'm planning on having a chat with a couple of my church folks who have more experience with the local art scene, at least for preliminary estimates.
Ah, okay. Well, I hope you get loads of helpful feedback! Pricing is nerve-wracking question for sure.
...been trying to put some feelers out on pricing but still struggling to understand how it should work. <.<
On the upside art efforts continue to come along at a good pace. π I have so many ideas.
Oh sorry I haven't been in here in a while. Ariel, I'm doing the Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang event this year for the first (and maybe the last, depending on if I ever get back into mainline social media after I take a hiatus this summer) time.
@hobbit: I took a peek at the tumblr page. I didnβt find posts for artists (all writersβ stuff at the top), but it seems like an interesting event!
