@Cor the first season of AoS is arguably horrible in the characterizations and how they go about everything. I think the characters improved a lot in season 3, but they definitely could have handled Ward better.

I've been watching Royal Pains lately.

@Cor--The director wanted Hook to be kind of goofy....I really loved Hook, but I was prejudiced already. I'm a big fan of Garrett Hedlund—have you seen him in anything else? Knowing the actor might help you like him better. I was mad at Tiger Lily after watching the movie a few times. She blames Hook for everything. Hahaha. 😉 That's just me and Shi though.

*recently saw Gerrett Hedlund in a movie* He had a pretty serious role as a military senior officer. Actually seemed like a Chris Hemsworth performance.

Yes, Unbroken. (Warning: it's rated PG-13.)

That is a really good, but sad movie. It's crazy what they went through. Louis Zamperini's story is incredible, though! Especially after the war. I haven't read the book but my sister has, so I heard about his story from her. Have you read the book, Ariel? (But yes, the movie is rated PG-13).
But yeah, I really like Garrett's character in that. And I like Louie as well. : )

I haven't yet. I'm partway through Railway Man, have I Am David and Ghost Brigade on my desk to read afterward.

It was weird seeing Hedlund in that role. To me, anyway. it's so different from his roles in Tron, Eragon, and... another movie I've only seen clips of and will not mention due to rating and that for not-good reasons.
O'Connell's performance was great stuff. They chose well for the role.

You're right, it's a very serious role compared to Tron, Eragon and Pan (which happen to be the same movies I've seen him in :)). I dunno, it wasn't really weird for me though, cause that was actually only the second movie I saw him in, and I had maybe watched some interviews of him before that. (And a deleted scene from Unbroken, before I actually saw the movie.)

Ahh. Yeah, I didn't have that, so it was very jarring for me to see him act like a mini-Hemsworth. (Dunno why I'm comparing either the role or the actor to Hemsworth... maybe because his voice seems deeper and more serious?)

Ah, I see. His voice actually is pretty deep if you just watch interviews and stuff, but yeah, I think if he's talking quieter or more serious, it's even deeper.

Hmmm... I have never thought of Hemsworth when I watch Garrett act.

I know, I've seen all the movies with Garrett Hedlund in it that I would watch. I wish he was in more movies I'd actually see. Anyway, he's one of my favorites.

I watched Zootopia! It has to have some of the most magnificent animation I've seen to date, even more impressive than BH6's San Fransokyo and unlike BH6 we get to see so much more of the city and surrounding areas. The detail on the animals, with all the different types of fur, is also amazing not to mention the animals are just plain cute. The story, while some might compare it to Tangled but without the romance (in some moments I can see that, but as it is a different genre of film it feels different), is rather interesting, especially at the beginning. The villain might be guessed by two-thirds in, and we do get to know somewhat about said villain - so that's a plus, but said villain isn't as fleshed out as much as possible.

It is also hilarious, so be prepared to laugh. 😀

The main characters, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, are both so loveable! Seriously, a snarky fox and a bunny who won't give up on her dreams learning to overcome their prejudices and grow as characters and friends. ^-^

It won't top BH6 for me, but it is still a good film that will sit higher on my list than others.
