Well, we only watched the first episode (which ended at Jill and Eustace's arrival at the Parliament of Owls), but so far it's good.

Well, the animation is certainly not the best, bit so far it seems to be pretty close to the book.
@Tooky: I am also excited about Beauty and the Beast!! It's my favorite Disney princess story.
@Jaygee: BBC Narnia is something I also grew up watching. The quality certainly isn't the best, but they're very accurate. 🙂
Ditto on Beauty and the Beast. One of my favourite Disneys period. And also one of my favourite princesses (Belle and Mulan have not agreed on which one gets first place on my list....) I just hope they do the story justice.

I saw HTTYD recently, and I think I probably have another favorite movie. 😛 (Did anybody else notice that Tuffnut and Fred from BH6 are voiced by the same person? 😛 )

Lately I've been watching Fullmetal Alchemist. Like insane amounts of Fullmetal Alchemist. Like it's taken over all of my free time.
Good to know I'm not the only one. I started reading the manga last summer mainly because I ran out of Western comics at the library that seemed interesting, and Luthien remembered that Dearheart liked it. (I was kind of wary of manga/anime due to it being hard to tell what is family friendly just by glancing at it.) But the story is interesting and has some meaningful points. I haven't watched much of the anime yet, but I know the first anime is different from the second.
[As a side note, FMA isn't necessarily family friendly because of violence.]
As another side note: if you know of other mangas or anime that are good, I'd like to know which ones they are. (I also like the Bakuman manga).

I watched an anime recently. Really not family-friendly, due to content issues, though.
Just watched "Nicholas Nickleby" and "Balto" - two totally different, but great movies!! 🙂
I've been watching an anime show called Cardcaptors. It's a sort of kid's show, but at least it's clean, which I've heard is a rare thing.
