@Ella and Ariel: Sweet! Thanks for your input! 🙂
I started Civil War a while ago but never finished it. I did get half way through the first CA though. I plan on finishing it soon.
I have been watching Young Justice and only young Justice for the past three weeks and will do so until they make a third season which they'd better because seriously the cliffhangers at the end of the last episode are unacceptable.
I started Poldark this week and I've already blasted through the first season and started the second.
If you liked Downton Abbey watching Poldark ASAP is a must.
Been binge-watching (I guess...?) Young Justice the past two days. I have a fic continuation thought running around in my head and I need to start getting together a structure for a season-two fic. *facepalm* (@Feather: I don't think that' gonna happen, unfortunately. 🙁 Considering it's been how long since they discontinued?)
@Tooky: What's that about? I see the title everywhere, but haven't the foggiest....
Poldark is about a British captain that comes home to Britain after the American Revolution to find that his father died and he's inherited a small plot of land, his cousin has married his fiancee and everyone thinks he died in the war. So the show is about class politics in that time period, especially since being exposed to the "All men are created equal" thinking in America, Ross Poldark wants to see that servants are treated fairly and chooses to make as many friends among the lower classes as the upper classes. But it's a lot like Downton in that it's hard to totally describe it as more than a drama set in a certain period because of the large amount of characters and plotlines that happen. Thematically it's really similar to Downton too, a period piece about changing class and society.
Thanks for the summary! Might have to check it out eventually.
@Ariel: One of the makers recently said that there's a slight chance it could be...He said that the reason the show was cancelled was that they spent a lot of money on making the toys and the physical copies of the show (dvds and stuff) and nobody bought them. He said that if people will buy the toys, the dvds, and binge-watching the show on Netflix (I guess they're able to see how much the show is being watched?) they could potentially bring it back. *hopes beyond hope it will happen*
:O Really?! Slightly more reason to try to get my hands on the DVDs then....
Queen of Katwe
so brilliant
@Benisse: ooh, I wanted to see that! But I didn't think it was in the theatres near where I live. I thought it came out already .... I'll have to check again.
Pretty well just been watching Agents of SHIELD and the MacGyver reboot. Considering trying OUaT again.
I have been watching Stargate SG-1, it's old, yes, but I really enjoy the sense of duty and heroism it has, plus it's pretty creative.
It's a series where the U.S. Air Force has a stargate that will take people to other planets when they walk through it. The main characters are a Colonel, an astrophysicist, an archeologist, and an alien who have to find ways to rescue Earth and other planets from the Goauld who pretend to be Egyptian gods. I'm really enjoying it.
(As a side note, I'd tried watching this as a teenager, and wasn't quite comfortable watching it. There are a few parts, especially in the first season, that need to be avoided no matter how old you are.)
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well." - John 14:6-7a
I just finished watching "Saving Mr Banks". Oh, goodness. I was definitely not expecting to get sucked into the emotions, but bother it, they crafted the story so nicely, I got hit in the feels and I cried. I'll be watching it again. 🙂
I watched the 2003 Luther movie...again. But I'm still amazed at the wonderful (and dramatic) way they portrayed his life. And Joseph Fiennes is a great actor, too. So that might help. 😉
