A couple weeks ago we watched "Sergeant York" again. I'd forgotten how much I liked that movie.

@hobbit: I saw that once! I don't remember how much I liked it, but it's on my Amazon wish list, so I must have enjoyed it.... 😛

The only Christmas movie I watch more or less routinely is A Christmas Carol (specifically the one starring Alistair Sim).

Big, fat warning on season 2 episode 1. Besides being notorious for featuring the woman who shows waaaaay too much skin (to put it lightly), she's all around a rotten egg in the same vein. In other words, she personifies "adult content".

Sherlock is awesome. But yeah, to quote Blimy Cow "You know you're a homeschooler if your family is really into Sherlock but you always skip 'that one episode'" (Hah too much skin? More like creative shooting to get around her only wearing skin)

I just finished "Stranger Things" on Netflix which was a really engrossing watch. I'd recommend it but features middle schoolers in the 80s talking like actual middle schoolers in the 80s. Really great plot though.

Re-watching "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" this week. There comes a point when I need to remind myself of what OUAT can be. Also, it covers a lot of stuff that's coming up in the new eps.

Other than that I'm in the middle of the seasons of Flash and Supergirl and that's going to take a lot of my time since it's a 4 part crossover this week.

Just recently watched the 2015 Cinderella. I thought it was pretty accurate, especially compared to Disney's other attempts in the past.

Just saw Moana a few nights ago. I enjoyed it! Definitely a little bit odd - but really funny. And I loved Moana's song "How Far I'll Go."

@Alex: Love that movie! Well, other than the fact that some dresses were lower-cut that they should have been. 😉

@Tooky: I really enjoyed Stranger Things (watched it twice) and want to know how the next season will be, especially given the ending. I was thinking too, that Millie Bobby Brown would make a great Jill (she has an English accent).

@Shi: I loved Moana. 😀 It was such a good movie and the music was also great, more musical than say, Frozen (which was the last music oriented one I think). I also really liked the cultural aspect and the animation was gorgeous! Honestly, the night scenes on the sea were stunning. Don't think it will top Zootopia, because I thought its story wasn't as strong or complex.

Let's see, I am a fourth through RotK, paused atm till my friend and I find the time to finish. Saw several German films for my class, some good, some boring. Watched the latest Agents of Shield last night and continuing to watch other things to make me laugh, because I am stressed.

@Ela I heard that the second season is supposed to dig deeper into the lore of how everything started which sounds cool, I like answers though I feel like it'll package them up in a way that takes forever to unwind and open up a ton more questions.

I didn't realize that Millie Bobby Brown was English, but now that you say that she would be a perfect Jill, her acting is top notch and she already is close to having the hair in the book illustrations.

*decides not to mention the Deadpool movie*
Of all the movies I've seen (ever!), "The King's Speech" has had the most language, and I thought it couldn't be beaten until I read the parental guide for Deadpool. Then I changed my mind. Deadpool is worse by far.
.....Whyyyyy do people do this????? 😥

I felt like this^ belonged here.

Since it's been brought up, (I didn't know if it was acceptable before) I'm going to mention that I loved the King's Speech. I watched it on Vidangel and used filters to mute/skip the language and things I didn't want to see. It was an amazing film and without some very specific swear words, I felt like it would have been a decent lovely PG movie.

I also recently watched "Alice through the Looking Glass." (no I haven't seen the first one and I don't know if I will.) It was fun and somewhat wacky. I liked it! (However I did use some of the filters VidAngel because of a specific gift "Time gives to Iracebeth" I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll say it's a metal wind up moving model of The Red Queen's favorite phrase. and because I knew it had a scene in a metal hospital it with the creepy Moriarity dude from Sherlock in it.) It all ends well, but I was a tiny bit disappointed by something in particular at the end. (I don't want to spoil anything so that's all I'll say but feel free to message me.)

Also, my friend is trying to get me into "Jeeves and Wooster" so far, I'm only in the first few eps.

Jeeves and Wooster! They're fun. I love Jeeves. He's the epitome of the "straight man" in a comedic duo and he's just so very proper and clever and... everything Wooster is not. 😆 I've only seen a few eps myself, but I enjoyed them.
