Yeah, we've been being cryptic to avoid spoilers but I think we're just ending up being confusing. πŸ˜†

Watched X-Men First Class (yes I know it isn't the newest movie but I only watched it recently) it was good.

He does all things well.

It’s the best of the newest X-Men, I’ll grant, though my opinion of it is... pretty low, heh-heh. I find the general premise interesting, but none of the films have β€œgrabbed” me. (There’s a chance that one might, but given the reasons for its rating, I have chosen not to see it.)

(A note: There are scenes in X-Men: First Class not appropriate for young viewers. TLC does not endorse this film.)

Speaking of non-Disney owned Marvel properties, I watched Spider-man: Far From Home. Overall, it kept the theme of Spider-man wrestling with being responsible relevant and the movie was different from the previous Spider-man movies that all occur in New York City because Spider-man is in Europe with his classmates. Unlike the previous Spider-man movie, though, this one is much more dependent on the other Marvel movies for certain parts of the plot and doesn't stand as well alone. The humor is ramped up in some parts - like with the teachers - to the point that it feels unbelievable. The language was slightly cleaner than Spider-man: Homecoming, but the language and the violence definitely keep it in the teen and up category.

I liked it, but then I like all Spider-man movies, so that should be taken with a grain of salt.

I loved Far From Home! πŸ™‚ Will have to wait and see whether it tops Homecoming for me, but I am very happy with it. I love the relationship with MJ and the general hijinks with classmates. Seeing Spiderman rise to the occasion against the odds and regain his spider sense is so very triumphant. Tom Holland's Spiderman is probably my favourite even over the spiderpeople in Spiderverse.

Waiting for the DVD release of Far From Home. Not too keen on a couple aspects, though I imagine I’ll enjoy the overall result.

Finally watched How To Train Your Dragon 3. Had sort of a "meh" opinion of it. I have reasons for having that opinion (wow, that was a lot of "have"s in a row), but I think that honestly it's mainly just because it wasn't as good as the first one. I'd probably watch it again, though, mostly for the visuals (especially that of the dragons).

HTTYD 1 is good on almost every level, though. In fiction writing they teach that there are 3 traditional conflicts: man against nature, man against man, and man against society. The first movie manages to have Hiccup face all three and has such a tight storyline that the movie feels complete. Everything after that feels like it is extra in comparison.

My mom and I went to see Overcomer the movie by the Kendrick brothers in Georgia. At first I had a hard time paying attention to the movie because we unfortunately had seats on the first row. But later, it was so engaging that I was able to ignore this. The movie is about a highschool student and the way she finds Christ and learns about her family. The movie also had some sad parts, but overall, I recommend it.

My sister Luthien and I went to see the Abominable movie about some children that help a lost yeti in China. The movie had beautiful animation but I think the storyline was a little weak in regards to how they are able to get out of dangerous situations.

For the most part, nothing remarkable Just a lot of Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Saturday we watch some old British shows PBS plays.

My Brother and I recently watched "Tales From the Green Valley" on Youtube. it's sort of a historical reenactment show, where historians dress up in attire from the 1600's and live as people would have at that time while teaching you about the time. I think the same people have done a few other things as well.

Recently I have watched a lot of adult series. A little of Supergirl and planning to watch the fifth season of Legends of Tomorrow.

Just saw "Gone With the Wind" for the first time a few days ago and good golly. I usually prefer longer movies but that one just went on and on! πŸ˜†
