Thatβs one endorsement! I know nothing of the story, but Iβll admit to some curiosity.
Okay well I've caught up on all the Chosen episodes that have come out. I'm now addicted. Help.
Did you hear Hobbit of narnia, that they released a new Chosen Christmas special, that should be on internet soon? π

Just watched a Christopher Nolan movie last night. I wonβt name it, given content issues, but it wasβ¦ well, Iβm not entirely sure I understand what I watched. It was very cool visually, and the puzzle-piecing was engaging, but the storytelling was kinda boggling.
Just watched the first episode of wheel of time. Not for younger audiences but I liked it.

Been watching Book of Boba Fett. Itβs lacking as a story, especially in purpose. And itβs not a good sign when the two most interesting episodes (though also weak in directional trajectory) are the two without Boba Fett (and are practically The Mandalorian season 3 episodes 1 and 2β¦).
Although I like the Book of Boba Fett I can't help but agree with you that the two last ones are the best. And that isn't a good sign for the serie.

Finished the third season of The Orville. Sad that it is over for now.

Last night, I watched a true-story, foreign-language, WWII survival movie. I wonβt name it, given the justified rating for violence and gore, but it was a riveting watch. Despite the fact that they tell you right at the beginning of the movie that the main character survives, the tension throughout is enough to let you forget that.
Today, I watched the anime movie Belle and found that it had more heart than I had anticipated.
I haven't watched anything for ages and this week I watched loads of things!
First I did Pixar's Soul over a pizza night with my sisters. Theologically really weird, but emotionally and psychologically well made.
Then I and one of my sisters went to a friend's short film festival! There were I think twelve little flicks submitted? So it was quite a range. Some of them were... more edgy than I was completely comfortable with. But there were a lot I liked pretty well, too. Some of my personal favorites were:
-a video of a rollerskater/dancer and a mime doing art around town, with Really Pretty background music
-one that I thought at first was a dreamscape but turned out to be scifi, a young woman recalling traumatic memories while trying to wake up out of cryo. The filming was beautiful, and her mindscape was a mix of desert and half-dead forest, but whenever a memory popped up it was framed in garlands of flowers.
-a chess game between a man and a goth woman who turned out to be an avatar of death, playing for an extra ten years of life so that he could stay and help his daughter and grandchildren instead of moving on to be with his wife. In the end he discovered that Death had actually gone easy on him to allow him more time.
Went to a theater for the first time in a while to see a film that shall remain unnamed but was pretty good. I actually had fun.
Been rewatching The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles with a friend. An often-forgotten series that is still a lot of fun. Watched Attack of the Clones for Perch's birthday. He hadn't seen it before. (Well, technically it was the night before his birthday. On his birthday we started reading Fellowship of the Ring. You should have seen his face transform when I started the Ring poem and he realized what was coming.)
Watched some Garfield and Friends with the kids. Particularly enjoyed the clip "Video Airlines" in which the characters keep trying to find a movie to watch and the only thing showing is the same film, featuring a scene where the lead pulls off his girlfriend's head mask: "WAIT! YOU'RE NOT SYLVIA! YOU'RE ONE OF THE KUNG FU CREATURES ON THE RAMPAGE---TWO!" (You can find it on youtube XD I've been quoting it and the kids at last understand.)
Aww, I would have loved to see his face light up with the ring poem!
Finally got to watching Spider-Man: No Way Home. It is better than the rest of post-Endgame Marvel, but itβs weaker than I had expected.
I liked the latest Spidey very well but I didn't go in with my expectations too high. Also there was some nostalgia at play.
The scenes with the three Spideys were absolutely the highlight. π Garfield especially: he had the humour and his off-screen arc was good, given how poignant it was for Holland. (Not that Macguire didnβt have his share of the latter, but he was the older, wiser one who had learned his lesson years ago while Garfieldβs was more recent and had lasted longer.)
