@Ariel: I'm halfway through and man, it is incredible. I'm sitting here wondering... "how?" These men were ingenious.
Right?! Just shoot me a PM if you want to talk about it more. 😀
@Shield: Oh yeah, I've read The City of Ember series (except the third book)! I enjoyed them. It's been a while though. Actually I liked the first and last book best and found the second to be a bit boring. 🙂
@Shi The third is my least favourite. The second one definitely wasn't as good as the first one, but I still enjoyed it. When I was younger, though, I really hated the injustices in the second one.
I've read all four of the Ember series, the best one is the first (for me, anyway).
@Shield: It's been a while, so I can't really remember specifically what you're referring too. :] Just how the Ember people were treated?
@Ella: I agree.
Anything about Brother Andrew is a good read. 🙂 Perchance, are you reading the Christian Heroes: Then and Now series?
Those are good. I haven't read them all, but I like them. My faves have to be Jacob DeShazer, Brother Andrew, and CS Lewis. 😀
I think Gladys Aylward was the first I read too. 🙂
We have almost the whole Christian Heroes series! I've read all of them, I think. Sundar Singh and C.S. Lewis are fighting for most-read, but the scale tips in favor of Lewis, just barely. The first one I read was George Mueller.
Love that series!
Sundar Singh is another favourite! Can't believe I left him out earlier....
I love how engaging the series is. Almost makes you forget you're reading a biography. 🙂
