I just finished "Jesus is You." And I totally loved it! I'm also close to finishing "The High King" from the Prydain series by Lloyd Alexander. I feel kinda sad though. Already there's been quite some treachery and some valiant characters have died.
So I have been reading the Pendragon Series...... I do not recomend them unless you love welsh names as I do. The storylines aren't very exciting.
Thanks for the tip! 😉
Continued CS Lewis' "Miracles" last night and today and also read section one of "Monuments Men". Good read so far.

Would these be Lawhead's Pendragon Series?
Edit: This isn't really reading, but I got Audible's Alice in Wonderland read by Scarlett Johansson, and it's rather pleasant.
Two days and section two of Monuments Men done!
Aye, Lil. There's the ones. Lawhead, R Stephen is the author.
What about it?
Any exciting adventurous awesome suggestions? 🙂 Still looking.
I dost readest the Seventh World Trilogy by Rachel Starr Thomson. They are the best thing other than Twenty One Pilots.
I just read War Horse in a single sitting. Not a massive accomplishment, what with it being juvenile fiction, but it still feels good. 😉
I prefer the movie to the book as the movie really expands the world, characters, plot, and relationships. But I did like one character quite a bit that didn't appear in the movie. Funny thing is, he's not the type I usually go for: he wasn't strong, noble, or a leader of any sort. Just a very ordinary guy, but he stood out for some reason.
Recently I read through an entire general history of England. It was pretty cool. Now I am in a book called The Middle Ages, by I don't know who. It too, is pretty good.
Almost finished listening to "Mockingjay." Has anyone else read the Hunger Games?
No, I actually haven't read the Hunger Games series, Shi. Are you liking it? I've gotten incredibly mixed responses from my other friends who have read it.
I am Sorta interested in the Hunger Games. But my mom would never let me read them.
Anyone have a review in Ender's Game? I saw the movie, and all my friends who have read the book say it is absolutely incredible.
Icefall, by Matthew J. Kirby, is pretty good. A short but intense and exiting read. Also kindof touching. AND you get a good look at Viking culture. (because of it I think I almost want to be a Skald)
Or course, if anyone wants to enhance their knowledge on Middle Earth, or more properly all of Arda and it's continents, Quenta Silmarillion is fabulous. The volume also usually includes other books such as Ainulindale. Aside from The Silmarillion, there are other books that reveal a lot, sadly of which I only remember "Unfinished Tales".
All of these aforementioned books are indeed Tolkien written.
And out of curiosity and looking for a review, anyone read Tolkien's The Story of Kullervo? I want to read it, but I have not gotten around to it yet. It is supposed to be his darkest works of all.
I like Ender's Game (book and film), though not all will. (If you want to see a book review over on another site Kristi runs, check it out here: http://squeakycleanreviews.com/review.cfm?review_id=2846 (SqueakyCleanReviews.com is... well, not exactly affiliated with TLC, but again, Kristi runs it. So totally safe. 🙂 )
I will say that the movie is cleaner and less intense (probably in large part because the film had to scrunch a lot of material into two hours and therefore had to skip or combine quite a bit to make it work), though I prefer the book as it allows for much more character and plot development. Again, though, the book has some issues to be aware of that the movie either skipped or basically skimmed.
As for the sequels, I've read #2 of the saga, Speaker for the Dead; and a friend told me about some of #3, Xenocide. Both are very, very messy in at least a few ways.
I would like to read The Story of Kullervo at some point, though I know little more than that it has similarities to The Children of Hurin (or rather, the other way around, as Children of Hurin was written after). Dark, tragic, hero isn't the great guy, that sort of thing.
@Ariel
Thanks for the site. 🙂 I will check it out.
I am NOT interested in reading more than the original Ender's Game anyways.
Yes, Children of Hurin. Okay, now I really want to read the Story of Kullervo. 😛
I'm told Ender's Shadow is also very good, but I haven't read it, so I can't give an opinion either way.
Haha, I was kinda like that too. Even though I've only read Children of Hurin twice and have dubbed it as one of the most depressing things I've ever read. 😛
