Yes, I thought so too. Irresponsible, dumb, but completely understandably so
@Spree: Ooh! Tales of the Goldstone Wood! I read Heartless and I have one about veiled something. *looks it up* Veiled Rose. But I haven't finished that one yet. 😀
So I've picked up The Hobbit after about a year. I seem to be able to focus on it more. Hopefully I can finish it this time and then move on to the rest of The Lord of the Rings.
I'm busy reading The Cross and The Switchblade written by David Wilkerson. It's a really great book!
Jill, I am soooooo envious of you right now! 😆
Just started LOTR for the first time!
Yay! 😀
I just read "The Dark Tower" by C.S. Lewis. It drove me nuts because it's an unfinished story, and had a fascinating storyline.
Wow, Hobbit, I've never even heard of that one. Unfinished, eh?
Meanwhile the hobbits are at (and about to leave, probably) Tom Bombadil's house in mine and Always reading of LOTR (we're reading it together.)
Yes, an aggravatingly unfinished story. Fascinating story, ends before even what would have been the middle of the book if it had been finished. It's driving me crazy.
😥 Yeah, we're staying at one of my mom's friends' house and they have all 3 LOTR and The Hobbit. Makes me want to read them so much.
Well, I finally (thanks in no small part to Spree reminding me about it) finished Veiled Rose. Then, Aygee, her lil' bro, our moms, and I went to the local homeschool curriculum fair on Friday and I bought a trilogy called Faith and Freedom series, which is the sequel to the Crown and Covenant series I got last year at it. I finished them last night.
Now, I restarted, for the third time I think, Israel My Beloved by Kay Arthur. Warning: It's more suited for teenagers-adults. Not appropriate for a child to read. It's very good.
I recently got that Israel My Beloved book from a free-book box. I think I'll get to reading it soon.
YES!!!!!!!!!! YOU NEED TO READ IT!!!!!!!!!!
@Jaygee: I'm about two-thirds through Israel, My Beloved (I'm at the part just leading up to WWII). There are things I like about it and things that drive me absolutely nuts from a reader/writer's perspective. (I wish to goodness she had a better editor... totally unnecessary exposition kills me! 🙂 )
@Ariel: Which things do you like? 😀
Well, I finished Israel, My Beloved and now, I've started The Warden and the Wolf King, the fourth book in the Wingfeather saga.
