I know Walden hung onto the rights longer than needed for that reason, but... yeah, I hope that’s not the case again here. I’m assuming that Netflix’s involvement means action, but news is meager.
If David Magee is no longer involved, it might mean that they hired him to write a script to see if they wanted to make The Silver Chair movie, and then decided not to. I'm hoping the screenwriting for Narnia at Netflix falls onto the desk of someone who already enjoys Narnia and can get people excited about it.
I think that's one of the reasons the LotR movies are so good - because the people making them were excited that the got to do Lord of the Rings and it rubbed off on everyone they were around.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well." - John 14:6-7a
Perhaps. Ela says that she read a review for Mary Poppins Returns, which David Magee screenwrote, and the reviewer was very much unimpressed with the script. Of course, that’s one person’s opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.
We need Narniacs involved in Narnia production, definitely agree with you there. People who know how it works and who will stand by Gresham’s input.
