Digory wants Ariel to write a sonnet about her favourite things about Christmas
Polly.
Polly...still needs to buy Christmas presents for my family. I am not as punctual with that as I ought to be. 😛

December twenty-fifth arrives each year
When snow falls on frosty nativities
And hearts are lit with songs of yuletide cheer
And with goodwill to friends and family.
But carols, cookies, candy canes, and all —
Though I enjoy each of these things —
Cannot compare to what later befalls
The Babe we celebrate, the King of Kings.
There would not be Christmas without Easter,
The purpose for our Lord’s incarnation:
For though His enemies from birth we were,
He made a way for all to salvation.
What is the zenith of Christmas to me?
The grace of He who lives eternally!
... I tried to write in iambic pentameter, but as you can see, that failed spectacularly.
