I may one day write a GeekyBoy/Susan fic.
My Glozelle headcanon will probably happen way before that, though. 😀
All of the transitions in this movie are spot on!!
Excellent editing, yes.
That council room looks frightfully dreary, though. Perfect napping opportunity... except for those less-than-comfy-looking chairs.
Does anyone else get a mixed impression of what the Telmarines believe about Narnians? Sometimes they're treated like fairy tales, other times, like hideous monsters of times past.
@Ariel: How far away are those Telmarines when Caspian blows the horn, anyway? I've always wondered. Because is it possible that Trufflehunter could have gone out and presumably kept Nikabrik from killing Caspian and then brought Caspian into the house in the time Trumpkin bought them by distracting the Telmarines? It's not likely...at which point your theory starts holding up really well.
Haha!! I don't really ship anybody, but Susan/Geeky Boy would be funny.
(I'm just waiting for someone to start shipping Glozelle and Prunaprismia after they left Narnia. 😆 )
I love the color themes in this movie. They reflect LWW in that red and gold are the good guys, and green and grey (blue and white in LWW) are the bad guys.
@Ariel well I just finish a Susan story, but I put gave Jill a brother and pared Susan with him, but maybe I'll write another story where she ends up with the geeky boy.
The Telmarines were several yards away. We see them ride into the shot and Trumpkin runs right for them. Definitely not enough space to allow Trufflehunter the time to do all that.
Glozelle/Prunaprismia?! That's a new one. I'm actually quite fascinated with the idea that Miraz and Prunaprismia were, like, fairy-tale-levels of in love with each other. 😀
@Ariel: Haha!! Well, they do walk through the door to the human world together at the end. And people have built ships on much less.
That makes Miraz seem just the tiniest bit less of a jerk.
There's so much natural light in the treasure chamber, the first time I watched it I wondered why they bothered with Peter's DIY torch and Edmund's flashlight. But then i realized that the roof probably USED to be there before during their reigning years, so they'd have expected to need light.
Aaaaaand there's our main theme soundtrack!
Secretly supportive, but still willing to murder him :p
@Swanwhite: Yes, exactly. 😛 Obeying orders, but not happily.
I love Trufflehunter so much. 😯
"Beards and bedsteads!"
I find it funny how Caspian pulls his bandage off like he didn't need it in the first place.
Glozelle can see that Miraz isn't as popular and is looking for career advancement.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you really knew Me, you would know My Father as well." - John 14:6-7a
I love him too, he so loyal.
"But you can't leave! You're meant to save us!"
A bit reminiscent of Mr Beaver's "But you can't just leave!", eh?
re: ships - True that. 😆
re: treasure chamber - 😮 I actually never really thought about all that natural light....
Also, can I just say that Edmund is at his best in this movie? He's got most of the best lines (like that palaver with Miraz!) and some fun action that even Peter doesn't get (like dropping off a tower to be caught by a gryphon).
@Swan: see, that's the thing. Is Glozelle really willing to kill him? Why is he one of the first to know the gender of the baby? If he really put himself in that position to warn Cornelius, then he'd trust Cornelius to get Caspian out of his room in time. Later, during the Night Raid, Miraz tells him to "give the order" for the archers to fire at the populated courtyard. Glozelle replies, "My men are still down there," but so is Caspian. And when the Narnians raided the Beruna camp, Miraz notes that there are injuries, but no casualties. Obviously, a fight had begun, but suddenly it stopped? Why? Did Glozelle tell his men to stand down? And in the final battle, Glozelle had the perfect chance to kill Caspian, but visibly softens and lowers his weapon. That's gotta be significant.
Huh I never thought about the before, but it a nice connection for the first two movies.
Pouty Peter and bitter trumpkin make me sad.
