Imagine how scary it must have been for Peter. It was probably one of his first times on a horse, first time in a REAL fight with a sword, LEADING a charge and not sure if he will come out alive. But he's doing it because of what the Narnians did for his brother. I don't think at this point he had too much interest in fighting for Narnia. But he had his brother. And he would keep his brother.
