I'm pretty sure my shortest fanfic was around 1,500 words (I think) and it was my first one, if I'm remembering correctly. I am not short-winded in my writing at all, but Tolkien makes me feel better about that. 😛
Swimming a cloak wasn't /that/ hard. But it always flies behind my shoulders.
I think anyone in a cloak should know how annoying it is to have their cloak fly behind their shoulder because of wind or water. Or hanging upside-down. 🙄

So my shortest fanfics were "Through the Sunrise" (1,604), "Who Am I" (1,679), and "The Other Friend" (1,597). "Wedding Belles" is my longest so far (5,347, if you include the disclaimer at the end).

I can't write short stories or fanfics... I think my shortest Narnia fanfic was 10,000 words. O.o And it's not even complete... I just didn't finish it. 🙄
