Since at least one more person has joined the Big Hero 6 fans I think it's safe to make a thread devoted to this super team for anyone to openly discuss their thoughts, reactions, and Baymax love. 😀
Spoilers will definitely run rampant here so if you haven't watched it (you should!) and beware this thread till you do!
I will make this post non-spoilery so that anyone can read it and hopefully encourage some to see this amazing film.

Non-spoilery thoughts:
Let me just say, I'm obsessed. Seriously, I am. If anyone says differently it's not true. It's been a month since I've seen it and I'm just as excited about it as I was when I left the cinema.
I know some may think the plot is too predictable but I honestly liked the way the story progressed even if I knew who the villain was before the reveal. The main characters each have their moment which is lovely considering there are six/seven to work with. It was a very nice movie that I connected with on many different levels and even the sibling story about brothers touched me, dare I say, more than Frozen's sister story. I'm not dismissing Elsa and Anna's relationship (because I honestly love it and consider it the best part of that movie) but Hiro and Tadashi's bond just made me want to try even harder to be an encouraging and supportive eldest sister to my siblings so that they will pursue what I know they're good at and what they love.
Is this my favourite Disney film? I don't know but I do know it's among the ones I love!
Is it worth watching? Absolutely! I would definitely watch it again if I could.
Tadashi! He was my favorite! Along with Hiro and Baymax, but I really loved Tadashi. He was an awesome brother!
To tell you the truth, when the movie began I was a little weirded out. But as it went on, as soon as Tadashi came on it improved and improved! I laughed several times, and even teared up a tiny bit (pretty big accomplishment making me tear up 😉
*Fist bumps Anne* Ba-la-la-la-la. Welcome! 😀
My favourites go Baymax, Tadashi, Hiro. If Baymax and Tadashi are combined then they are both my number one favouite because... yeah.
The beginning with the botfight wasn't at all what I expected but I enjoyed it enough since it gave insight into Hiro's character and the Macrobot against Yama's bot was great. So did I! (Not the tearing up but a few times my feels were hurt 🙁 ).
Ela, your timing couldn't be more perfect since we just saw Big Hero 6 last night. 🙂
Ahhh I'm not sure who my favorite is, but it's probably Tadashi. But I also love Baymax, and Hero's really cool too.

Ugh I was so upset that Tadashi died! When I happened, I was like "This is a stupid movie!" (It wasn't, I was just sad he died 🙁 ) But it was very effective to the story.
And then Baymax died too! But at least he got him back 🙂
Actually I didn't guess the villain. I thought it was that Krei (?) guy the whole time, right up until his mask fell off and there was a pause before it showed him, and then for a second I thought "Is it his brother?" and then I was like "But why would he do that?" lol.
When Baymax was sacrificing himself to save Hiro I kept being like give him your hardrive. Give him your harddrive already! You can live, he can get you a new body, all your personality is on a little thing you can fit in your hand, you're practically immortal, don't be stupid, GIVE HIM YOUR HARDDRIVE and he can live AND have you! And he did, and I was happy that a character was being smart instead of dying because of an obvious plot-hole. 🙂
@Shi: Yes his death! I already knew it was going to happen (the trailer kinda gave it away) but I wasn't aware that he was going to become so likeable and also one of my faves! Terrible terrible thing to do but it worked and that's good.
@Lily: Yeah, I wasn't thinking that while watching but I was very happy he did give Hiro the hard drive. It would be to much to have it any other way,in my opinion. Besides Hiro didn't need to lose someone twice, especially since Baymax was almost all he had left of his brother.
*practically squees her way in* 😀 Baymax love! Fist bumps! Tadashi!! (eh, yeah... you just witnessed me fangirling)
Um... pretty much everything that's been said (except I'll have to wait till I'm on a computer to read Lily's post (phones don't highlight the same way)).
Of the five pals (ie: "not the Hamada bros and Baymax"), who are your favourites? I lean toward GoGo and Wasabi myself.
Spoiler!
I suspected Krei (yes, you spelled it right, Shi) up until the mask came off. Then I changed my mind and pointed my finger at the other guy.
And GoGo hugging Hiro! I wanna know her story. She's clearly got a soft side and I wanna know where she got it from (or why she hides it under the whole prickly "woman up" exterior). (fanfic fodder...)
Yeah I didn't think of the hard drive, but I'm glad it turned out that way!!
Ah see, I had not seen the trailer and really didn't know much about the movie, so I wasn't expecting that.
Um, I like Wasabi and Fred of the 5. 😀 They are hilarious.
@Shi: Ah, yes. It was, in some ways, a shock for me too. How was I supposed to know that this character would be developed? I had assumed he'd already be gone.
Character... hmm. I think I'll have to see it again to make a call on that but I think I'm leaning towards Honey Lemon and GoGo.
Thoughts on Hiro and Yokai:
Both lost someone they loved dearly. Both were consumed with grief/hatred and desired the destruction of the 'murderer'. So Hiro very well could have become a Yokai himself had he been allowed to pursue his plans. Hiro's hatred went so far that he changed his brother's helper robot, (which he had began to associate with Tadashi), by removing the hard drive Tadashi created that made Baymax 'Baymax', so that Baymax would KILL Yokai. It was only the voice of reason, his brother, that made him realize his error since he didn't listen to anyone else up until he was shown the video. I find it interesting that the creators made his story as such. Probably not completely original but I thought it was a good aspect of the film.
I did like that development in Hiro and the contrast between him and Callaghan (and furthermore between them and Tadashi and Baymax). And while, no, it's not original, I think it made it's point: nipping it in the bud versus festering and stewing for years.
Yes, I think it makes Hiro seem more true to his character) considering he is very different from his brother. It only helped push the conflict even further by making his pain and confusion at the time more palpable, in my opinion.
*EDIT*
I found this cute (but short) video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUgTxdkDlF4 (youtube is not affiliated with TLC in any way. Click at your own risk!)
OOooo my! Soooo much has happened since I was last on!
I also like Fred and Wasabi ! Imagine that! Shi and I usually like the same characters 😉 I LOVED the part when Fred was making up the song. Too good.
It seems like me and my family were the only ones laughing in theatres! 😉
I thought a few times Tadashi would return, that he was not really dead. I am sad that he died, but also glad they didn't bring him back. That would have been a little predictable.
Give me big SPOILERS!!
@Anne: My showing was loud with laughter. 😛 But then we went the first day it came out.
Speaking of laughter please tell me I wasn't the only one who thought it was funny when Hiro was trying to think of an idea to present to Callaghan. It reminded me so much of of what I go through when I try to write or draw something. New notebook (or blank document). Sharpened pencil. "Nothing! No ideas!" *Headdesk* "Useless, empty brain!" 😆
@Smaug: I think we pretty much gave all the key spoilers. 🙂 Is there anything more you'd like to know about it?
Oh okay
