I think I had an idea that Tadashi would be very high on my favourite character ranking since he... yeah.
Now that you mention it, Elanor, I think BH6 is pretty high up my list too. Dunno if it surpasses Beauty and the Beast or Treasure Planet, but... yikes, it's gotta be close at the very least! Yeah, I don't think I was expecting to like it as much as I do either; I mostly went in with, "Baymax and the kid just look so cute, ergo I must see this." 😛 I guess the character building and development is what got to me. 🙂

Yeah...
I know, right? I just thought Baymax was cute and funny in the teaser and seeing as it was a Disney movie, I wanted to see it. That, the character development, is probably what did it for me, I like Hiro's character arc.

Today, for my birthday, I was given the collector's edition! *squee!*

So, I finally found the time to watch it again (and, of course, I loved it for the third time around)! 😀 Oh, and I watched the bonus material too! There wasn't a whole lot but it was interesting. One part told how the filmmakers brought in everyone with a brother to share their experiences; they wanted to make the bond between Hiro and Tadashi as believable as possible.

On another note, when I watched it this time I tried to look closer at the details (Hiro has a fish... or did... it might be dead now, Tadashi has his own separate lab, Wasabi's car has a Mickey logo on it, Hiro makes the same expression Tadashi does when he says "Someone has to help"..., there were some other things too but I've forgotten...), I'm going to have to watch it a few more times to catch more things I haven't noticed yet, but I'm not complaining. 😛

😛 I saw the bonus feature about character design (it's the only behind-the-scenes that my dvd has).

That's so weird: I heard one girl say there wasn't enough character development. I think Hiro, who is the main character, has enough development. There will always be a little less development for the other characters.

I'm a stickler for character development myself and I thought there was plenty... I mean, my only complaint about BH6 character development is that I think Hiro recovered too quickly from his bitterness over Tadashi's death.

@always: Yes! Not to mention that, I dunno, Hiro could have easily fallen off the scooter, getting hit around like that. 😛

I love that part so much. 😆 I also must say that I use Hiro's writer's block phrase quite a bit, which tells you something, haha.
