I was at a beach of frolicking crabs?! How did I get here? I thought I was in a field in the middle of nowhere... I quickly hopped onto a rock; frolicking crabs don't seem very happen if you step on them. And then...
A: It started pouring rain
B: An alligator slunk over to me and said "hello".
An alligator slunk over to me and said, "Hello." I'm not to proud to admit I screamed. "Don't be frightened; I won't hurt you. Here, climb on my back." Do I...
A. do as he says.
B. run for my life.
Lake. "What are we doing here?" I asked. He told me...
A. He needed me to fetch a lion's skin.
B. His master wanted to meet me.
He told me his master wanted to meet me. Talk about creepy! Just as creepy as if he had told me he needed me to fetch a lion's skin from the lake! o.O
"What is your master like?" I asked cautiously.
The alligator seemed to consider the question seriously before answering. He finally said, "Some say he is swift as an eagle. Some say he is fearless as a talking mouse. I say he is...
A. excessively fond of backrubs."
B. very sloppy, which is probably why he wants to interview you for the position of housekeeper."
They might not need me but; they might.
I'll let my Head be just in sight;
A smile as small as mine might be
Precisely their necessity.

"I say he is very sloppy, which is probably why he wants to interview you for the position of housekeeper."
I shudder, but stay seated on his back. Where else was I to go?
The alligator continued walking towards the lake. Much to my surprise, he plunged right in and began swimming downwards! I...
A: Take a deep breath and hold on to him
B: Panic and fight my way to the surface
I take a deep breath and hold on to him. It's a wasted breath though because I let it out as soon I as I see what's in front of me.
A: A sunken ship full of treasure
B: An underwater mansion
It was an underwater mansion! I'm supposed to clean this place? A shudder of horror shook me. The alligator entered and led me into a study. I gasped, seeing a...
A. Giant.
B. Ent.
Giant. He turned to face us when we entered, and I noticed he had gills in his neck. His hair waived in the water as he moved.
"Ah, good, good, you have brought the earth-dweller!" he boomed, beaming. "I am King Mervis. And who might you be?"
Surprised to find myself able to not only breathe but speak underwater, I introduced myself.
When King Mervis heard my name, he started suddenly, and went pale. "It can't be!" he whispered, apparently to himself. "It can't be the...
A. Destroyer!"
B. Deliverer!"
They might not need me but; they might.

A smile as small as mine might be
Precisely their necessity.

"Deliverer!"
I was taken aback. I mean, really, I made a time machine in my mom's basement. One that ran on garlic juice. Not that special... right?
The alligator slapped my spelunking gear (and, in effect, me) and said, "Well, give it to him."
So I did. The Giant studied it intensely and said,
A: "This is a fine addition to my collection."
B: "Yes, only the Deliverer could have such fantastic gear."
"Yes, only the Deliverer could have such fantastic gear."
By now I was royally confused. "Excuse me? Could we back up a bit?"
The Giant laughed. "Of course. Here, sit down...
A. I'll send for some food for you before I explain."
B. and watch out for underwater spiders. Nasty things."
"...and watch out for underwater spiders. Nasty things."
I looked behind myself as I carefully sat down, and then looked at the Giant questioningly.
Before I knew it, I was surrounded by giant spiders which swam around me and quickly wove a silken net around me.
"It wouldn't do to have the Deliverer be the housekeeper here," the Giant murmured to the alligator. "You'll have to find someone else." The alligator nodded solemnly.
The Giant waved the spiders away, and they dragged me off to...
A. a dungeon.
B. an underwater forest.
They might not need me but; they might.

The spiders took me to a dungeon. With me wriggling and shouting so, I don't know how they managed it (need I say that I had hoped they wouldn't manage it?). Behind me, I just heard the Giant guffawing maniacally.
The spiders tossed me head-first into a dark cell and I hit my head on something soft. I hoped that maybe my time machine had glitched again and sent me somewhere, anywhere, but here. But I heard the cell door lock behind me and I knew I had no such luck. Of all the places to be, I had to be stuck in this predicament! And what was the Giant saying about being a deliverer? I wish!
Suddenly, in the mostly-dark, I felt something feeling my web-bound legs. I cried out in surprise (and fear, duh), but then doubled my cries when I realized what was touching me. It was...
A: an octopus with razor blades on its tentacles.
B: a little girl with glowing green eyes.
A little girl with glowing green eyes. "Hello," I said.
"Hello," she responded. "Who are you?"
I told her my name and added, "The king up there said that I was the 'Deliverer.' Do you know what that means?"
She...
A. sat down and explained.
B. gasped. "The Deliverer!" and ran out.
She gasped "The Deliverer!" and ran out.
Great. Now what? My eyes were beginning to adjust to the dark, and what dim outlines I could see made me shudder. I decided to...
A. try to break my bonds
B. try to see my surroundings
