Have you seen The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and would to discuss what you thought about it?
Maybe you'd like to discuss Desolation of Smaug or There and Back Again: news, speculation, or just your thoughts?
This is just the niche your looking for!

Remember,
Never laugh at live dragons -JRR Tolkien 😉

I am extremely exited to see the next movie. 😀 As for "An Unexpected Journey" - I quite enjoyed it. I'm still rather perplexed that they're going to make a relatively short book into a trilogy, but I can see why they chose to do it that way.

Also, the goblin-king was kind of gross and kind of amusing at the same time. o.O

I am about ready to fast-forward to December 13. 😛 All this suspense.... O.O
The Goblin King was pretty nasty looking 😛 I hear that in the Unexpected Journey Extended Edition he is going to get to sing more. Yay! Right? 😛

Are you going to the midnight premiere Ariel?

Yes that's what they tell me, and I think there is going to be more dwarf singing too.

That's the plan, yep. 😀 I did UJ at midnight with some friends last year and we've plans to do the same again this year with DoS.

Ooh, more dwarf singing. I approve of that. Plus that great scene with Bilbo and Elrond! 😀

I will probably not go at midnight but the first day for sure. Don't be surprised if I pester you with questions and say wait, don't answer that 🙄
I will die of wanting to know what is going to happen 😆

I also can't wait for the EE to come out *twiddles thumbs*

Well, now, here's the hard question: when you do riddle me with questions, do you want me to answer or no? 😉
(Oh, and I expect much information from you concerning the EE since I don't plan to own it till all three are out. :D)
Honestly, UJ was my first-ever midnight movie (and I think I've only ever seen one movie opening day and that was Brave). It makes for a rather long day, but it's kinda cool to see how a bunch of strangers will kinda band together and chat and share and stuff. 😀

Hee it depends on the questions maybe you could hint around unless I beg for the answers 😆
I will probably want to know if I should brace myself for Tauriel+everyone romance 🙄
Yes I shall tell you anything you want to know, I am pretty impatient sometimes and wouldn't be able to wait till they all came out 😛
I have seen three or more opening day but never midnight I don't know if I could stand it, although the adrenaline would be pumping through my veins so fast no telling what I might do 😯

I'm pretty excited about DoS. Not as much as Eria but still quite excited, maybe I'll go to the midnight premiere for TABA, who knows?

I would imagine I'd be asking some questions too Ariel , (of course if you don't mind 😉 ). Specific ones though, none that would truly "spoil" the whole movie experience for me.

I will gladly answer any and all questions you pose. (I love spoilers. Spoilers are my friends. 😀 ) And yes, I will let you know if there's romance to look out for. 🙂

😀

I can deal with some spoilers, (after all those of us that have read the book certainly have spoiled major plot elements. 🙄 ) But the romance bit is definitely something you should tell all of us. 😉 I am hoping that there is going to be little to zero, but we'll just have to see.

I here tell of some new elves to be added
Lethuin palyed by Eli Kent
Elros played by Robin Kerr
I have know idea if this is an elf or not, "Craig Hall has been cast as Galion, the King's butler" King referring to Thranduil? *is confused* 🙄

Oh and Thrain is officially going to be in the next movie played by Sir Antony Sher.

But yes you should tell us Ariel if this, what's his name? Oh yes the hobbit Bilbo is to be making an appearance in the next movie. I wish he will be, I loved him in UJ OOOH maybe he'll get a run-by cameo while they are traveling through Mirkwood. That would be nice 🙂

Galion sure sounds like an Elvish name, so that's my guess.

Thrain... that's just odd....

Wow, really? You're asking if Bilbo will be making a cameo? With his amazing Martin-Freeman-face? 😛

Oooh, midnight showings. I wish we could all go together. That would be so much fun. I don't think that my parents would be up for a midnight showing so I'll probably have to wait until the next day. That's what we did last year and seriously, there were only about six other people in the theater besides me, my sister and my dad. It was crazy empty! On the other hand, when I went to see Les Miserables a few days later, it was packed! And then I ended up seeing UJ again with my sister and my mom. That's the most I've ever been to the movie theater in two weeks. That's the most I've been to the theater in a whole month. Last time I was at the theater was for VTD.

@Eria I would assume that it was referring to Thranduil. After all, in the book he has a butler! Remember? The butler and the captain of the guards (or whatever he was) drank the king's best wine and that's how Bilbo was able to take the keys and release the dwarves so they could escape in the barrels?
