I don't like the fact that there is (so it seems) a one-sided attraction from Legolas to Tauriel. I like that she's a very different she-elf compared to Galadriel and Arwen (plus the whole thing about the Silvan Elves being less wise and more dangerous). However, Evangeline Lilly's comment about Tauriel lacking self-control is worrying me (Captain of the Guard, anybody?). I still don't know. For now, I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I'll be watching her with two eyes as long as I can spare them.

@Ariel I don't know about one sided romance between Tauriel and Legolas because she was asking Thranduil if he would not allow Legolas to pledge himself to her. So I am thinking she has to share his feelings for her to be concerned about it.
Yes I am giving Tauriel the benefit of the doubt I just hope she doesn't make me regret doing so. I found her comment comparing herself to Tinkerbell very odd and too cutesy (she could have chosen a better example 😛 ) Oh and Ariel I find it very funny that your story of Tauriel's background is very similar to what her background really is. EL claims that Tauriel is an orphan whose parents were killed by orcs, and that is the reason she became a ruthless killer and why she feels it is her duty no matter who is involved, to stop the growing evil.
@Ariel: But-but-but... it has to be one-sided somewhere... 'cause PJ promised she wouldn't be a love interest for Legolas....

Of course, she's still beaming all over herself at being in the semifinals (and you should have seen her face when I reminded her that that meant that she gets a prize, even if she's not the chosen winner. 😀
