Ariel it's kind of a joke between Eria and me as Bilbo only was seen briefly in the trailer and we didn't hear anything come out of his mouth besides his little laugh and grunt. 😛

Hmm when we went to the cinema there was no one really, probably because we decided to go at 8:00 AM.

I know my parents would not want to stay up so late, so the midnight premiere is not going to happen this year. Now There and Back Again on the other hand... 🙄

I'm going to be in SA this year, so here's hoping we have an early release date again 😉 Not quite as fun as watching it in Oxford, in a cinema located in the same street as The Eagle and Child, but I get to watch with my brother this year, so yay!!!

I'm hoping that I will be able to make Eowyn's shieldmaiden dress this winter/spring so that I can wear it to see TABA. Some of my friends already have medieval/LotR/Narnia costumes and so we all want to go together. 🙂

Ajjie I think the SA release date is the same for those in the US and UK.

I wouldn't believe the official release dates for SA at this stage. They're pretty disorganised and probably haven't decided yet. Last year they announced the early release dates in the UK and SA fairly late (like a month or so before), so there's still a chance. But whatever happens, I don't mind. Like last time, so long as I can see it. I've waited about 10 years for The Hobbit to be made into film, I can wait a few days here or there.

Probably mentioned this before in the old thread, but the barrel scene is my favourite in the book, so I'm really interested to see what they'll be doing about that.

That Thranduil or Legolas and Tauriel will help in the battle at Dol Guldor.
I say why not have Tauriel find Smaug's weak spot, and have both her and Legolas kill him together, then they can single-handedly win the BoFA. And she can be made the queen of Dale. 😉

Well, having any of those three elves fight at Dol Guldur makes sense since Dol Guldur is either just inside or just outside their borders.
