Wait, when did this turn into an actual spoilers - before the movie came out - spoilers thread? 😉 I thought it would be safe and merely speculation until it was out for real 😛

Once a daughter of Eve. Now a daughter of the Second Adam.

😛 Maybe we need new threads for pre-movie spoilers?

I'll go and edit my post to say spoilers or something of that ilk. Sorry Ajjie!

*EDIT*

I added a warning to my other post AND added a few more spoilers. 🙂

@Anne: Yes, it is, sadly. If they really wanted people to like Tauriel and make her out to be a good character a romance would not have been necessary but alas! That's what they decided to go with. :/

Still,I can't say I'm not excited for it even with many changes to the narrative. We're planning on watching it on the 16th! I hope it touches me emotionally because if it doesn't I will be one unhappy hobbit.

Ela- I might cry from broken-heartedness over the ruinous way they are ending it all 😉 Alas, a book-purist must be negative. I am sorry.

Ariel-I think I am waiting to see it on the 23.

O, and Ela and Ariel- love your signatures! Just saw that tonight!

O ela, I'm so negative when it comes down to comparing books and movies!!! 😉

eheheh! I love Big Hero 6! (However, I know it must be a hush-hush subject in this thread!)

I can be that way too. Eria always tells me to lighten up and not get so downhearted about the outcome but it's hard not to when the book-purist in me comes out (and it does quite a bit!). But I will go in with really low expectations so that by the time it's over I will have some fondness towards it since it can't possibly be as bad as I think it will be, you know? High levels of excitement low expectations. 🙂

(Maybe I can make a thread, Frozen has one, so why not?)

@always: No worries, I get really negative too. You should have sent me at PC! I was enjoying myself so far as a decent movie goes, but every time something was changed too much, I was all up in arms on the inside. I expected BoFA will be similar.
(Yay!! Another BH6-er! *fist bump!* 😆 (@elanor: I see what you did there. 😀 ) Okay shutting up on the subject.)
Back to BoFA, I was wondering if you guys could make sense of something. I bought a poster last night of Galadriel, Elrond, Gandalf, and... Azog. Does this mean he'll be at Dol Guldur and not at Erebor or in both or is this just a confusing poster?

@Ariel: I don't think so. I expect the confrontation at Dol Guldur to only consist of the White council, Sauron and the wraiths. Azog will probably only lead his army to Erebor - I couldn't see him anywhere near Dol Guldur. Just my thoughts but I'm quite sure the poster is a misrepresentation. 🙂

That's what I'm thinking too. It's be too much to have him in both battles and why would he pass up a chance to try (again) to kill Thorin? I wish the poster had Rabadash or even Saruman (or Cumber-mancer) rather than Azog.
According to Lego sets, the Witch-King will for-sure be involved at Dol Guldur and it looks like Tauriel (and Bain) will be part of Smaug's attack on Laketown.

@Ariel & Ela- Well, we could make a thread 😉 You are right, Frozen has one too! *fists bumps both Ariel and Ela*

I am too much of a purist not to complain- I cannot lighten up! I feel Tolkien would be up in arms too (I mean, he complained about a terrible dust jacket of the Hobbit. It was a horrid illustration and he said that surely the paper to make the dust jacket could have been better used for something else 😉

I wonder if Azog will be in Dol Guldur? Isn't that where he was when DoS ended? And didn't he send out Bolg? I would think Bolg would be at the battle.

Sorry also to be a downer, but I don't know why my sisters and I insist on going to see it when we know we are going to greatly dislike it. Oh wait, yes I do know. For some reason we have this thing called morbid curiosity, and since we've already seen the other two, we just have to finish. lol
