@Ariel: Haha! Well, to be honest, I'm having a hard time getting off the ground with Elvish, too, because in my opinion it's easier to learn a language when you start with the language's alphabet. But no one seems to agree on how Tengwar works, soooo...I'm doing my best, but it would be easier if I had an actual teacher or a consistent textbook.

I did pretty well with avoiding spoilers. Got a hint of something on Facebook, got a small spoiler from an ad on Facebook, accidentally saw a comment on YouTube, and someone told me about a particular character (though showed surprising restraint over the one character that made her cry).
