@Jaygee: A Matter of Faith came out on DVD just recently. It's about sticking to what you believe in (in the context here of creation vs evolution).
Ah. Sounds interesting.
A Matter of Faith - this one, citing wiki?
"A Christian girl, Rachel Whitaker (Jordan Trovillion) goes off to college for her freshman year and begins to be influenced by her popular biology professor (Harry Anderson) who teaches that evolution is the answer to the origins of life. When Rachel’s father, Stephen Whitaker (Jay Pickett) senses something changing with his daughter, he begins to examine the situation and what he discovers catches him completely off guard. Now very concerned about Rachel drifting away from her Christian faith, he tries to do something about it."
One of the things I'd like to see on video - in someone else's home, I'd like to keep my own TV and video free.
That is the one, hansgerorg! I wouldn't rank it with Fireproof and Courageous, but it certainly has surpassed a few other faith-based films I have seen by a long shot.
I didn't recognize the name earlier, but I had heard of it. It sounds really good!
*noms chocolate cake*
Y'all, the next two months are gonna be craaaaaaaazed. I'm hoping to get about forty hours a week at work, I'm doing NaNo, I'm gonna scrapbook, Nias family is probably visiting next month. Berrys for sure is. We are hosting thanksgiving this year. My mom is running for office and the election is next month... My life is crazy.
I wouldn't rank it with Fireproof and Courageous,
What are those?
It sounds really good!
I think so too.
I think I had read a review on CMI a few months too.
My mom is running for office and the election is next month... My life is crazy.
OK, perhaps you prefer to not say what office?
@Hans: Fireproof and Courageous are 2 of the 5 Kendrick brothers' movies. Fireproof is about strong marriages, and Courageous is about fatherhood.
It's hard to explain, Hans, especially considering I'm not sure how familiar you are with US politics 😛 basically it's a local position and her job would to coordinate all kinds of random stuff.
@hansgeorg: Fireproof and Courageous were the third and fourth films by Alex and Stephen Kendrick (as Jaygee has already said) and are, in my opinion, the best two Christian films I've seen (though their other three (Flywheel, Facing the Giants, and most recently War Room (not yet on DVD)) are also good stuff).
@Tenny: ... Just don't kill yourself with all that, okay?
Ariel you ask too much. You won't let me.cry stress overheat OR kill myself. Evil dictator you are.
@Tenny: Well, I'll allow you to freak over my maniacal stories.... 😛 (Also, dictators don't ask. 😉 )
ah - I do know there are local positions in US politics and they are elected
Federation
State
County
City or District
Election every level, and I have heard even referenda are possible every level.
Yo! I hate school so much!
