They're amazing for outdoor winter concerts. You can play violin and have your hands be not numb!
Well, my fingers get the coldest. 😉
My fingers get so cold that during the winter they're numb more often than not. But it's incredible how much the fingerless gloves warm. I have a pair that has a mitten-like thing on the back that you can put over your fingers if it's super cold. So yes, they're the best.
