Okay, Ariel. Here is my first ever sonnet:
What a day it was to be
On the morning of last Sunday
When I was to be full of glee
For, it was my birthday!
From my bed did I flee
To see my gifts with which I might play
Those gifts were nice, I agree
But my grandparents – oh how so thoughtful were they!
Their gifts caused me to squee!
Most people forgot or didn’t know that it was my birthday, so there was a bit of a delay
For people to see
And wish me a wonderful day
At least it was a good birthday, and I decree
That, until my next birthday, I shall remain happy and gay!
