Well, I'll have to get a discussion going, then!

I was kind of surprised I ended up liking the film. I really went to see it because I was already a fan of Garrett Hedlund, who is Hook in this movie. But I was also intrigued by the fact that this was an origin story and I wanted to know why Hook and Pan were friends.

So! In general, it is a little bit of an odd movie, but that is because Neverland is sort of an odd place.

Peter: Was very good! Levi Miller did excellent and I liked his mischievous ways.

Hook: Nearly every line out of his mouth made me laugh. He was great and is definitely my favourite part of the movie.

Blackbeard: Well, obviously Hugh Jackman did a great job. He was very funny, though also a very crazy and evil villain.

Tiger Lily: She was actually pretty good. I typically do not care for the female characters they create in films these days, but she wasn't over-the-top. I thought she was kind of cool.

I REALLY want to see it but no one else in my fam wants to sooooooooo. Yeah! It's annoying all the hate Tiger Lily is getting because she's not native American but I don't care. She's great looking and this is Neverland!

Hey Cor! OOOOO, man! So do you think you won't be able to see it in Theatres cause no one else wants to go with you?

I know, the stuff about Tiger Lily was really odd. The Natives of Neverland are all different races.

Well, there's a vote of confidence. I guess I'll put it on my "get it from the library after it comes out on DVD" list.

Wait, the natives are all different races? My mind is blown....

Of course you would start a discussion about this, Always 😉

It is a sort of bizarre movie, but I rather enjoyed it. I liked how we got to hear how Peter gets to Neverland, and how he starts out there and so forth.

Hook, in my opinion, is definitely the best part of the movie. He's doofy and hilarious. 🙂 Of course, as Always said, we were already fans of his, so that makes you kinda prejudiced. 😉 I hope they make a second, cause they left it open for one, and I'd like to see how Pan and Hook eventually split off.

Blackbeard is a crazy, but amusing, badguy. I don't know, he's just one of those villains that make me laugh. This was the first movie I've seen Hugh Jackman in, so that was kinda funny. 🙂

Pan is adorable and I think Levi Miller did an excellent job.

OF COURSE I STARTED THIS THREAD, SHI!

I am worried that a second won't be possible, due to the movie doing so poorly. I'm really disappointed about that.

There were a few parts of the plot that perhaps could have been handled better, but overall the script was rather humorous!

What you guys are saying is totally opposite of a review I just watched. That reviewer hated Pan's guts and then some.

(Bit of a tangent here: if you're looking for more Hugh Jackman, I do not recommend getting it from the X-Men movies. They're eyesores, all of them. Les Mis (if you can get through almost all-singing and certain scenes) and Real Steel (if you are tolerant of Ant-Man level swearing and okay with robot-boxing) are better.)

Yeah, the movie seems to be getting some pretty bad reviews on it. Do you mean that the reviewer hated the movie or he actually hated Peter?

Uh... both, really, but moreso the movie. And he really hated Hook. But I already know I don't always agree with said reviewer.

Well, sounds like a downer. Hook, in my opinion, makes the movie.

Well we always seem to like movies that do kind of poorly and aren't very popular ... lol.
I'm not sure why you wouldn't like Hook ... he's hilarious. But I really like Garrett Hedlund, so as I said before, that kinda makes you prejudiced.
I've seen Hugh Jackman in a couple interviews and I really like him as a person. Yeah I don't know about X-men for sure, I don't know much about it, and I really don't know if I could handle Les Mis or not. Hahaha. And I've never heard of the other movie you mentioned. 🙂

The reviewer's biggest beef with Hook was that he was your stereotypical weirdo film American, like in the way he talked and stuff. And he also didn't like that Hook was very much un-Hook-like, said that it made Hook's being a bad guy later unbelievable.

I think they meant for him to be kind of clumsy and doofy. And I can kinda understand that it seems weird for Hook later on, but isn't the cartoon Captain Hook also amusing? I haven't watched that in forever. I don't know what he's supposed to be like from the book though cause I've never read it. I'm not like a huge fan of Peter Pan movies or anything, so it wasn't a let down for me. Also it was an origin story and in the credits it said "based on the characters by J.M. Barrie." So it's not like one of those "based on such and such a book" and then it's nothing like the book. But like I said I've never even read it. I just enjoyed the movie. 🙂 lol I'm rambling 🙂
