Though somewhat cynical, our frog-like friend from the fen in the northernmost neighborhood of the nation of Narnia never balked or broke down in the monotonous march across the miserable moors. The morose Marshwiggle might be mournful, but when we wonder whether the Wiggle weally was as somber and sad as he seemed, we perceive that Puddleglum was perfectly picked as a great but gloomy guide for the half-grown heroes in their hazardous quest.
