Shasta is slightly chilly because we have the windows open a few weeks early.
@hobbit: (re: Elvish) Thank you. I did enjoy myself, or at least, the sleeping part. 😉
Shasta's locale most definitely has spring. It was 75 degrees today. O_O It's too early, man. Not so hot. Not so soon.
@Ariel: Good. 🙂
Shasta does not like Yellow Season! Rrrrrgh...there is dust everywhere.
*にほんごべんきょします*
*and also listens to the same sad soundtrack she's listened to over 15 times because... reasons*
@ela: is that the English translation of the Japanese or did you say something different?

Japanese is confusing. Apparently its writing system is almost as hard as Mandarin, and its grammar structure is almost as hard as Korean, making it one of the most difficult languages for English speakers to learn.
Shasta has the Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps silly song stuck in my head.
😆
Shasta.
Shasta is tired.
@Ariel: I wrote *studies Japanese* although I forgot one particle. *headdesks*
はい、日本語はむずかしておもしろいです。でも私は日本語がすきです。
Yeah, Japanese is difficult and interesting. But I like it.
The writing system is definitely a difficult one, since there are three: hiragana, katakana (used mostly for foreign words and names), and kanji (Chinese symbols). While the grammar is hard at times, I love how one must not conjugate verbs or adjectives for every pronoun. Also, I tend to associate certain grammatical principles with German, like one of the uses for the particle に and the Dativ Kasus.

The Korean writing system is super simple; you can learn it in a day, easily. But the grammar rivals English for complexity.
Shasta!
Shasta.
Sashta much prefers learning Indonesian to Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and other South-East Asian languages. There are no conjugations, no verb tenses, and no articles. All the grammar rules are basically the same, and it has the same alphabet as the English language. Plus, it's very similar to Malaysian, so you're essentially learning two languages for the price of one. I love Indonesia and Indonesian a lot
Shasta thinks that Indonesian sounds interesting. 🙂
Oh, it is 😀
