I have a lot of partial costumes, but only two real, intentional costumes (one of which was too bulky to bring, so it's in storage in the States).
I wish-wish-wish that chainmaille wasn't so heavy. I could include it in so many costumes, but when I'm already wearing four or more layers to get the right effect...! I mean, I'm not as easily affected by temperatures as a lot of people I know, but still...that's a lot of dead weight to be carrying around.

Well... the chainmaille shirt that I made isn't that heavy. I did make it out of aluminum rings, though, which are a lot lighter than other kinds. And, unless you get reeeeeally hot and sweatsy, chainmaille keeps you feeling pretty cool. But if heaviness/bulkiness is an issue... I'm not sure.
