Shasta listens to Silmarillion music while doing school. I regret nothing. I'm sure this is the most epically-written essay I've ever done.
Shasta tried writing a short... thing tonight. It ended up being REALLY dramatic. It was just supposed to describe mixed and confused feeling I have about someone. ๐

@hobbit: wait, there's music for Silm?!
Shasta
@Ariel: Both Lind Erebos and Blind Guardian did Silmarillion albums. And the songs are completely opposite in the moods and styles. So someone put together a playlist on YouTube and I get "music whiplash" from going back and forth between choral and rock music. ๐
Shasta!
Oh. Never heard of either. (Uh, rock? Well, then. That's not something I'd associate with anything Tolkien. ๐ )

Sashta is very glad to be home after a long day at school
@Ariel: I know, it's kind of interesting. But with song names like "Into the Storm", "Curse of Feanor", and "Blood Tears", it starts to make sense. They do the more intense bits of the story. It's not for everybody (I was hesitant at first, because the songs are kind of loud and I'm not a huge fan of harder rock music, but I turn the volume down), but I think it's pretty cool. And then Lind Erebos does "Sleep My Miriel" and "Land Where Flowers Grow" and etc. There's some battle music sprinkled through their stuff, but it's a more traditional style.
Frankly, though, what I'd love to see happen is Van Canto cover all of Blind Guardian's Silmarillion songs. Because I love what they did with "The Bard's Song". Softening it a bit, turning up the tempo just a tad, and doing it all a capella. Way cool.
Shasta can't wait to finish school today.
Sashta slides Hobbit some choc chip cookies to help her get through the day
Yayy!!
Shasta does math.
Sashta wishes she had maths to do. Sashta is also having way too much fun searching for ringtones.
Shasta isn't going to bed any time soon and finds the internet was left on all night. ๐ก
@Dilly: You...you wish you had math to do?
