Strider is torn between the Shire and Rivendell for favourite place in Middle-earth. Maybe I'd do a half-and-half situation....

Ooh, Rivendell is awesome, too. Alex's favorite Middle Earth location is Rivendell (ahem, I mean Imladris).
The Shire is my top favorite, though, by far. I'd love to visit the other places, of course, some even for an extended period of time, but I can't imagine actually living anywhere in Middle Earth other than the Shire.
