So then Faramir backtracked to a really tall tree and made a zip-line from a long vine and landed inside the gate.

"I hope no Calormenes saw you do that..." Edmund muttered.
"Ah, no problem," said Faramir. He let the vine swing back so the hobbits could come and the rest of the party. He abruptly set fire to the vine when they were all across.
