The canary hadn't counted on beings so small attacking.

They were able to get underneath the force field.
And, having no other way of destroying a cleverly-devised jelly bean rain machine..... they began to tickle the canary.

"Heehee" Giggled the panda as he helped tickle.
Sam and Frodo sneaksneaksneaked up in their Elvish cloaks and fumbled with funny-looking buttons and levers, trying to turn the jelly bean rain off.

Finally, they succeeded.
(I ate jelly beans today.... 😛 )
(:P) "Yaaaaaaaaay!!!" yelled the panda and he ran outside to eat jelly beans.
They ALL ran outside and ate jelly beans, and ran in and out of the castle with jars and boxes, and filled them. Then they set off to hide all the larger boxes in the treasure chamber, or in the basement, or in the tower, and setting them out in fancy jars for decoration.

On the way Edmund and Lucy skipped ahead of the company, singing 'We're off to see the Wizard"
Sam stopped. "What about the canary?"

Frodo, overhearing Lucy and Edmund, muttered something under his breath about not meddling in the affairs of wizards, but didn't say anything out loud.
