"This is not good!" he grunted.
Lucy and Edmund saw a necklace on the dragon with a funny-looking emblem.

"What does that mean?" Edmund wondered.
Lucy stared at the dragon, and it stared back at her. That dragon had met it's match when it came to stare-contests.

Meanwhile, Ed was sneaksneaksneaking up to the emblem to get a better look at it.
The plan worked perfectly, and Edmund snatched the necklace. Lucy, however, and the dragon, were still intently staring at each other. Lucy seemed to have forgotten that she was the decoy for Edmund's idea.....

He shouted, "You can stop now!" and startled once he was closer to Lucy than the dragon. They both turned to look at him.
"The dragon is really quite intelligent, Ed," Lucy said.

"Yeah, people always assume I'm stupid." said the dragon and he walked (as fast as he could) to stand next to Lucy.
She edged away from him. "Why did you try to kidnap me?"
"I was trying to get her out of my world and back into her own," the dragon wistfully replied.

"She is in her own...." Edmund said, slowly, like he was talking to a small child.
The dragon obviously looked confused at this. He'd been told all his life (which wasn't too long of a time) that the four children in Cair Paravel were evil children from another world, trying to conquer all of Narnia...... which wasn't very logical, considering they already ruled it.

"Well, I mean, we were born somewhere else, but our hearts belong in Narnia," Lucy tried to explain.
The dragon stood his ground warily, but didn't object to more explanation.....
