The Sentence Game

Then Hubert started wailing again because he didn't have anybody to talk to in the pit of jelly.

"Do you want back out?" Eustace called.

So then Hubert grabbed an armful of jelly and climbed up the dragon-Eustace's tail.

"Don't get me sticky," the dragon irritably snapped.

Hubert had already gotten jelly on his tail "Uuops" He said.

So then Lucy handed Hubert her handkerchief so he could wipe it off.

"Thank you, Queen Lucy," he said, furiously scrubbing (no pun intended).

Then the jelly dried because Eustace was such a warm dragon, and Hubert couldn't scrub fast enough.

"Now I have to take a bath!" Eustace groaned.

So Eustace flew down to the beach and sat in the water for a long time.

"That's not a bath, Mr. Dragon," Susan informed him.

"Susan!" Lucy yelled, "that's no 'Mr. Dragon", that's Eustace!!!"

Hubert scrambled up to Eustace's neck and sat there happily.

"Eustace?" Susan gasped. "As in our cousin Eustace?"

They all nodded in unison.
