Faramir glanced at his watch, and decided he'd better be going.

Lucy, eyes on the jelly beans again, begged him to stay.

He responded admirably, giving her another handful of jelly beans before he bounced away.

"Thank you!" Lucy called as she watched him go.

Boromir soon followed his brother, trying to coax him into giving him some jelly beans too.

Sam asked Frodo, "Which way do you suppose Mordor is?"

Mr. Beaver said, "I think it's that way, and watch out for spiderwebs. Nasty business, those things are."

"Sppppiddddderrrrssss? As in, how big?" Frodo asked.

"Never met one myself, so I can't say." Mr. Beaver replied.

"I'm not scared of spiders! I'll go with you!" Edmund bravely offered.

"No lad, that wouldn't do." said Mr. Beaver. "Cair Paravel needs you."

"But, they need help!" Edmund argued.

With a sudden pounce, a grangly hobbit-ish looking creature came out of a nearby tree with a misjudged jump that was meant to have landed on Edmund's head.

Susan and Lucy screamed, and Peter asked, "What in the world is /that/?"

"SLINKER!! GET AWAY FROM THE HUMANS," Sam roared. Lucy abruptly spilled her jelly beans.
