The Calormene shrieked like a little girl and released Shasta from the light beam.
Then Shasta ran back to Narnia and the bipolar chicken raced him.

Shasta won, needless to say.
And then the Calormene raced after both of them, because he hated when he wasn't included in contests.

He almost passed the boy, but Shasta barely beat him into the castle courtyard.
Shasta and the chicken scrambled up the castle gate and slammed it in the soldier's face.

"Yikes!" he shouted.
So then the bipolar chicken and Shasta decided to sign up for the Narnian Olympics and go as a running team.

And of course they trained together!
So then the day of the big race came....

And they ran as fast as they could, Shasta came in last and the chicken: first.
So then Shasta pouted for a few days and let the chicken deal with all the newspaper articles.

"What makes you such a fast runner?" Asked the chipmunk reporter.
"Well, my wings certainly help," she said.
She flapped her wings once for the reporter to see.
