Everyone's eyes went as round as dinner plates. "Jaygee, are you quite sure?" Berry asked.
"I'm positive! I saw the rabbit/men/harpy/things go in and come back. They just made certain they were the only ones who could return."
"Why?" Ethran asked.
Jaygee shrugged. "I dunno, something about wanting to take over Narnia, I think."
Berry fainted (yet AGAIN.)
"Does Berry have a fainting problem?" Ethran asked Smaug.
"Yes," he replied. "It appears she does."
(Later on, after she had woken up, she explained that she had this fainting condition that was quite common in Talking Dormice.)
"They wish to take over Narnia, you say?"
"Yes, indeed they do, King Edmund."
"Have you any idea when?"
Jaygee thought about it before shaking her head. "Nope; they were smart enough to not mention it in front of me, I guess."
(Ariel suddenly poked her head around a corner to whisper, "Hey, guys, as entertaining as this is, remember that the object of the game is to write one sentence at a time." 😉 )
Berry woke back up.
(Tenny peeked her head around the corner and whispered back at Ariel "Gypsy wrote the rules and it says one or two sentences. Not just one 😉 just not overly long ;)")
Tenny handed Berry a berry pie
"Ooh, what type of berry?" several voices asked at once.
(Ariel whispered back to Tenny, "Ah, thank you for enlightening me." 🙂 Then she disappeared to attend to her knightly duties.)
"Um, raspberry?" Berry guessed.
"Now!" shouted the leader of the rabbit-men. "Get them while they're distracted! And get me that pie!"
"Wait!" Berry yelled after quickly sampling it. "It's Chinese Bayberries."
"Nooo!!!" the leader cried. "I'm allergic!"
"Well this is a very interesting tale," King Peter interrupted. "But this hasn't explained why they wish to take over Narnia."
(Sorry, guys, I messed the story up and forgot that they had escaped from the rabbit-men and made it to Cair Paravel and were talking to Peter and Edmund. Ariel and Tenny's dialogue caused me to lose track of the story. 😛 It's all good!)
