Everything I've heard about Frozen sounds wonderful, from the story to the music to the animation. I love that they're doing a sort of variation on The Snow Queen.

"Variation"? More like "let's keep the snow and the queen and then change everything else", heehee. 😀
Everybody keeps on saying how great it is and for once, I'm inclined to believe them. Just seems to be taking a while to actually get to a theater to see it.... Possibly today, possibly today, if I have the time....

Yeah, I think it's only "inspired by" the Snow Queen story.
Is it still playing, Ariel? I thought yesterday was the last day in our area.
It's really good though , I like it a lot. My favorite character is Kristoff.

@Engee: I'm working on it. 🙂
@Shi: Yeah, inspired by. I read the wikipedia article on it and thought it interesting how many times Disney tried to make a Snow Queen movie. And, yes, it's still playing in my area. 🙂 Ooh, Kristoff? I've been so concentrated on the girls, I hadn't really thought a lot about Kristoff (which is odd since I usually gravitate toward guy characters, haha).

I haven't seen it yet, but if Tangled is anything to go by, I like what Disney does with fairy tales. They should stick to fairy tales 'cause they can actually do a good job of improving on them (some of them are quite horrible by today's standards). That's what they've always been good at. That and original films of the Pixar variety. They should leave classic works of more modern fiction (like Narnia) alone 😉

It only came out in theatres here on the 20th, so we haven't been to see it yet. I know my sister is keen, so we might make a sibling trip.

Once a daughter of Eve. Now a daughter of the Second Adam.

Personally, I enjoyed Frozen more than I liked Tangled. I like both very, very much!

I liked it better too. I think it's because the movie deals with a sister relationship which I can relate to much more than what Tangled offered. But I still like both a lot.

Hey, so guess what. I saw it today. 😀
I liked Tangled in that the songs were less invasive (like, the Tangled songs flowed easily in and out out of the story) and the romantic relationship was stronger, but the sister relationship was nice and strong in Frozen, plus the *bleeps out spoilers*. 😀

I agree, the Tangled songs flowed much better than the Frozen songs.
Congrats on seeing it! 😀

So scratch that, apparently it's playing for at least another week here ^_^
I too liked it better than Tangled.
Yeah Ajnos, I've heard that some of the original fairytales that have been made into movies are creepy!

My brother in law, sisters and mom went to go see that. I refused. I guess one of the reasons why I am so over Disney princess stuff is because I've seen first hand on what it does to some girls. I went to college with one who based everything off of a Disney movie. Her life had to be just like the Princesses in the movies and if it started turning rough and ending up not looking just like a Disney Princess then she would bail and become too dramatic. I also went through high school with a girl who had to have everything be like a movie, from friends to how she saw herself to how she saw her life going. Even her wedding resembled that of a Disney movie. It does aggravate me the more I get older to see girls who want to be just like a Disney princess and if it doesn't turn out that way, then they bail on life, be very dramatic and what us TLCers classify as a "Mary Sue" and in my college buddy, get depressed about life. Hate to be a downer and I know that alot of girls do not do this but Disney Princess Syndrome is really a heart ache to watch and sometimes annoying. I try to stay away from it and stick with the actual fairy stories from the Grim Brothers.
