@Ela I looked up that castle and it looks gorgeous!!!!!
@Ariel I've been to Edinburgh Castle, too! It's so cool. Such a formidable fortress. I've also seen Stirling Castle in the distance.
@Engee: I wish I'd had more time to check out Edinburgh Castle (well, actually, just more time in both England and Scotland would have been nice 😀 ). Though I did see a fair bit. Did you go to see the firing of the cannon? I was there for it and filming it, but I guess I didn't see the last bit of prep before the firing because I was quite startled when it went off! (PS: like your sig 😉 )
@Ariel I can't remember. I know I heard it fire, but I can't remember if I was actually watching at the castle or not. (Oh, thanks, some really great graphic artist made it. ;))
Ah, okay. Well, it was a lot louder than I expected it to be. (Hello, Ariel! It's a cannon! :P)
Did anybody dress up for Halloween?
Our church does a Halloween outreach, called 'Trunk or Treat.' The members from the church bring their cars to the parking lot and decorate them. Then we play games and hand out candy. Every is encourage to dress up. It's really fun! This year we were able to hand out all the tracks purchased for the event, so praise the Lord! Hopefully everyone who received a track will read it and hear the Good News.
I was Susan Pevensie at work on Friday. 😀 Didn't wear the fur coat for more than a couple minutes indoors though, haha.
Haha, that's fun, Ariel! That's what I was last year. There's a pic in the costume section. This year of course I was Susan in her farewell dress. I had a lot of little girls ask if I was Elsa, Cinderella, or Merida (with my bow and quiver). One little girl came up and said, "You're Cinderella! You're my favorite princess!!" 😀
It was a very close vote. Susan beat out Black Widow by one, who beat Elsa by three (or was it two?), who beat modern!Belle by three. 🙂
That gown looks nothing like Cinderella or Elsa outside of the blue.... Not that that negates the cuteness of kids coming up to you and making guesses. 🙂
Yes, I considered being Maria Hill because my sis was going as Bucky and her best friend as Cap, so I could've jumped in with them. Or been a fem version of Coulson and stalk "Cap" for fun. 😆 I also thought about Katniss because I had all the right pieces for her outfit. But I ended up going with my dress because it's just so fun to wear and what little girl doesn't like seeing a princess, right?? So I wore my dress, and my other friend wore her Rapunzel dress. Next year I am for sure being Anna. I'm planning on making Anna's traveling dress over this winter for my 4-H project and because I am tired of freezing myself at fall ren faires and Halloween! I can wear any warm material (flannel, felt, fleece, wool, etc.) It will be so much warmer.
Haha, that would have been cool!
Good thinking. 🙂
@ Engee on the last page 😛 : That castle looks sooooo cool! I wish we lived near a castle, but we sort of live in the wrong part of the world for that. The closest we've got are Indian mounds. 😆
@Hobbit I know what you mean. There shouldn't be a castle anywhere near me, from the area that we live in (think tons of cornfields and farms) but there is! 🙂
So Gypsy and I went to a concert last night -- and met Eowyn of Narnia 😀 ^.^
We had... five TLCers there, including me and Gyps. It was awesome. Their band is amazing....
Which five TLCers? You guys never told me...
