Yeah, it was. 🙂 And much more pleasant than half of everyone getting sick on Christmas Eve and Christmas... 😉

@Islie: That's such a sweet story! Thanks for sharing a bit of warmth during these colder months. 🙂
Today I was overloaded with fandom at yard sales and whatnot. 😛 I found four hobbit-like coats. Three look like Bilbo's red/cranberry coat with one being quite feminine. The other is a dark green velvet like coat with beautiful buttons - it looks very Victorian and now I need a skirt to go with it! I found some hobbity trousers which, with some tailoring, should look nice with the cranberry coats. There was also other coats which would do quite well for other, more casual, cosplay. *Can't wait to put together the outfits.* There was also a pristine set of Narnia books for $1 and I couldn't pass it up! For some reason I was able to purchase some bronze gauntlets for only $1 and they aren't cheap looking either! I also found some LotR/Hobbit books too. Also, my sister is starting preparations for her costumed party and I have to get together my own costume which I won't reveal just yet - it's not what one might expect, I'd say. *Is super excited.*
Nice finds, Norelle! 😀 I bet you'll have a lot of fun with all that. 🙂

@Elanor: I'm properly jealous a dozen times over!
The most exicting bits of my day were that I quit one job and I've found (and purchased) a rare calander that doesn't feature the least interesting picture on my birth month!
@ Elanorelle: *wants* 😆 I don't remember ever going to a yard sale that has anything awesome like that. But then again, I've not been to many yard sales at all...
@ Ariel: Ooh, wow! I feel your pain about the boring birth-month pictures. 😛
@hobbit: Every other month gets all the cool pictures. Except for this new horse calendar and my FotR calendar (can't go wrong with Aragorn refusing the ring and action poses of Legolas and Gimli 😀 ).
😆 We always get the landscape pictures calendars, and all the other months have mountains or woods or sunsets over the ocean. But my month? Wheat fields, dude!! Sometimes cornfields, for variety. *sigh*
I have some exciting news! I'm in drama at my homeschool co-op, and we did auditions before Christmas and finally got the cast list. There was a certain monologue that I was really hoping to get, and when I got the email, I found out that I didn't get the part. I was disappointed, but determined to have fun with the parts that I did get. When class came around, it turned out that a mistake had been made and I really did get the monologue!!! I have never been so excited!
Yesterday my family went skiing/snowboarding with our homeschool group. It was really fun until I fell and hyperextended my elbow. So now my elbows hurts and I can't fully straighten it. But it was still a pretty good day.
😆 I'm glad you got the part you were hoping for! That has yet to happen to me... 😛
Oh, wow. I hope it heals soon!
Who else has an insane amount of snow?! 😀
(And who wants the extra? We can barely see our mailbox because of the snow piled up behind it from shoveling...)
It's funny, because we got a huge amount of snow dropped on us, but it feels like just ordinary winter, because last year was huge amounts of snow and record-breaking cold for, like, forever... 🙂

Hehe, definitely not me. 🙂
I WANT IT. I'LL TAKE IIIIIT!!!! We haven't actually had snow since, what, 2008. And that was record-breaking too, I think. 😛 And last year, we actually had /sleet/. I went and bounced on the trampoline in the sleet. Closest I've gotten to snow for a loooooong time. 😆
We have a ton of snow, but I'm studying for a big test, so I've been stuck inside and not able to enjoy it much. I did get to take my dog out romping in it. That was a blast!
I want snoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow
Mee toooooooo!
Me three. But that's not going to happen, in summer or winter 😛 We did have a cold front over the weekend and the chill in the air reminded me of the chill we get when it snows on the mountains. It would be cool if it snowed on the mountains in summer 😛
I know various parts of England (including Oxford) also had snow yesterday. It's their first snow this season and in fact I'm 99% sure there was no snow in Oxford last year judging by the lack of photos and posts about it on FB. That means it's the first time they've had snow since I was there in March 2013.
