Well it was almost 60 degrees yesterday so I was very happy. It's been the first time in at least a month that there's been almost no frost on the ground in the morning.

O.o I get excited when frost /is/ on the ground. If I use me imagination, it looks like snow. 😛

Hehe, we went up north last summer, and it felt like fall compared to what we have in summer time.

Thank you, Hobbit!

I love summer. It's hard to read outside and take walks in the winter.

Yesss, yess, but take in mind we live in different climates.

We likes winter better. Here in summer, if you go for a walk, you come back really sweaty because of how hot it is. But still, in summer, we can go swimming, yess, yesss, we likes to swim! It's a bit.... cold to go swimming in winter time, though we've gone swimming in reeeealllly cold water before.

Thank you, Hobbit!

I prefer winter -- you can't go outside at ALL in the summer 😛 it's like... walk outside and burn to a crisp in five minutes. Not to mention I can't read on the roof, even with a blanket between me and the burning shingles. SO HOT! You could blister your hands by touching the edge of the roof. Also, walking barefoot even with my hard feet in the summer blisters them. Badly. 😛 Yeah, winter's more comfy for us here. 😛

Most people around where I live tend to prefer summer because our winters get pretty cold. 🙂 On the other hand, our summers are fairly hot too - certainly not as hot as a ton of other places, but it's hot to us. I definitely prefer the winter - bundling up, tons of snow, hot chocolate, ice skating...mmmmm....

It always kinda freaks me out when people talk about non-freezing weather in the winter - like..a winter without snow? What? Where do you live that you don't need winter tires?
(yeah, yeah I know that most places don't actually get that cold in the winter - maybe I'm just used to living in Canada)

O.o Heheh, I kinda freak out when people /do/ talk about freezing winters. 😆 The most snow I've ever seen was 6 inches. And that was a freak storm, too. 🙂 SNOOOOOOOOOW. I WANT SNOW.

Somebody should totally make a weather channel topic in here. 😆 😆 😆

Thank you, Hobbit!

@Narniac: Lol 😆

Oh, I have always LOVED summer. Winters here are so boring. We hardly ever get snow and it's just agony waiting for the warmer weather. But actually, this winter we've been having like 50-60 degrees, which is awesome. I've actually been able to sit outside and read in the morning. So yeah, it's been nice. 🙂

I'm one of the weirdos in my area that loves winter. I mean, I'm not a fan of icy roads or poor visibility or ridiculous wind chills, but I love the snow and the cool and seeing my breath in the morning....

Snow! We loves it, precious, but we never get it... 🙁 We'd rather have summer start early than a normal winter without snow...

My friends and I started building a massive snow man on Sunday. The base was probably about four feet high and four feet wide. It was impressive! Then of course, we had to make a big enough middle, but then it was so heavy we couldn't lift it on the base! (That was with three teenage guys, and a few teenage girls trying to help lift...it was heavy!) We tried a ramp, but it broke. So we just decided to make a slide since we already had a ramp built! Our slide is about six feet tall, and it also has a tunnel running through the middle of it. We spent all afternoon building it. It's pretty awesome! 😀

We're having a heat wave this week.

Which is really fun considering we're having problems with electricity supply in the country and they are doing this thing called "loadshedding" where they turn off different areas for 2 hours at a time to try and suit the demand. It's better than the alternatives, which is complete blackouts that could take days to fix and we usually know ahead of time when the power outage will be. But it doesn't help that they keep telling us to do everything we can to save electricity which means we shouldn't be using airconditioning. So yeah, fun times 😛

Random change of subject, but whenever I watch Peter getting knighted in the LWW movie, I think about how that's exactly how it was in my mind when I became a knight on TLC. Well, after all the screaming and jumping around that is. 😉

Updates in the life and times of the Took-

~ Despite spending two terms in college, I am still single. This is fine, I went to a non-ministry college partly for the reason that I wanted to stay single instead of constantly being hounded about it. A man'll find me in good time if he's coming it all.

~ Monday starts final exams for the second term out of three for me. I'm surviving, but you can send e-cookies if you wish.

~ Still working at the ice cream shop, still love it. For better or for worse we don't have setting at my store so I don't get to be like Connie from Adventures in Odyssey, but I get free ice cream and it's still awesome.

~ In the interest of preserving my sanity I stopped listening to the news (And then getting mad at the news) on my half hour to and from school and picked up the Artimis Fowl Audiobooks. I'm on book four right now and am finding them to be great fun. Anyone have any good audiobooks I should do next?
