You went to Scotland! Wow. Did you get to see any of the castles?
@Engee: I can do a Scottish accent, too. And a bunch of others. 🙂
So... I just got two teeth pulled, and the laughing gas is still affecting me and making everything feel a little bit dream-like. 😛 The numbing stuff hasn't worn off yet, although I do get the family prize for breaking a tooth into the most pieces. We thought it had broken in half, but turns out it broke into about 5 pieces. 😛
ooh ooh ooh ooh, I can do several accents! British and Western, and regional accents, and Scottish and Irish!
and lots of stuff 😛
I prefer just copying voices.
WOW, Berry!
@Dilly Yes! I got to see Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle. We climbed the William Wallace Monument and Arthur's Seat mountain.
@Berry Woah!
*giggles at all the woahs and wows* I have the feeling back in my mouth! *happy dance* The laughing gas is no longer affecting me, either. 🙂
@Tenny: I can do a Scottish accent, An Irish one, several different British ones, Swedish, French-German-Swedish (it sounds really weird!), and Australian. 🙂
Australian? Really?
I'm really sorry that I never got to Scotland when I was living in Oxford. I wanted to take a trip there, but time and money didn't allow in the end. I did get to see some awesome bits of England and Wales though.
Once a daughter of Eve. Now a daughter of the Second Adam.
Oh, that is an awful shame! At least England and Wales have their beautiful parts. I've never been overseas...
*swoops in to the Sound of God Save the Queen*
I believe there was an English vs British question *checks Birth Certificate* Yup. I can answer this one
Ajjie has essentially got it right. The question of whether to say British or English, or British or Welsh or whatever, is similar to the question of whether to say you are an American or what ever you call a person from Ohio.
Because the UK is made up of four countries (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) what you call yourself depends on where you come from. So as I was born in England, I am English. But as I am also resident within the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland I am also British. If I was born in Wales, I would be both Welsh and British, because I come specifically from Wales, but also from Britain. Does that make sense to everyone?
That is of course before we get into the question of Yorkshire and Cornwall
*sweeps out again* HAZZAH
*nods in affirmation* Nice entrance and exist! 🙂
@Albero: I remember when I was given laughing gas while getting teeth pulled. *sigh* That was the best surgery ever. How many other surgeries put people in a good mood? 😛
Good mood? Good mood?! My laughing must've been broken 😛 It only made me sleepy. I'm already sleepy enough because of daylight savings time 😛
Well vacation in Branson is going well! 😀 My two sisters and I did a zipline today!! It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@Engee: Sounds like fun! I've only gone ziplining once, but I have a dream of doing it again this summer.
@Berry: I don't remember being tired. I do remember getting a milkshake afterward (thankfully thick enough to eat with a spoon as I wasn't allowed to use straws) and wanting to giggle at the littlest things. I don't think I said anything ridiculous-- which was my big fear beforehand-- but I know I probably was acting a bit silly anyway. Which just made it all the funnier. Cue more giggling.
*faun's eyes are wide* Laughing gas sounds scary...
