So, my sister's April birthday party - her real birthday is in August - was pretty fun. ^.^ It didn't turn out the way we were hoping, but we still enjoyed ourselves quite a bit. Anyway, without further ado, some photos.
The home theatre (with Anakin/Ethan doing something on stage):
Green screen studio (which we sadly didn't get the chance to use), and it looks like Anna and Elsa wanted to join in:
I can't say much for Eria because I'm not her, but she looked like she was having fun. 🙂
Being Honey Lemon was totally amazing! At first NO ONE knew who I was, which was funny because one of the games required people to guess each character: some knew I was "the girl from the new Disney movie" or "the girl from BH6" but that was it. Later on one little girl came in and said "Look it's Honey Lemon!!" It was the cutest thing. ^.^ Sometime during the party she started talking with me and said I should throw my chem-balls at someone. I told her that they were on our side (she was Batgirl), and that I could only go after bad guys to which she responded, "Yeah, like the Kabuki man". So then I threw my chem-ball at Darth Vader (my dad) and 'defeated' him to the laughter of the kids I was talking to. Afterward they wanted me to make them their own chem-balls to play with, I obliged.
Even after the party we had fun playing on the stage with our cousins. We used the cardboard cut-outs to do musical numbers. Like "Love is an Open Door" but with Anna and Loki. Yes, it's weird, but it was so much fun.
AH! That looks so awesome! And sounds so cool! 🙄 I wish I'd been there. 😀
It was the coolest thing, possibly bigger than my party. I absolutely loved the stage. ^.^ I wonder how long everything will stay up...
*wonders who everyone was*
Ethan was Anakin, Eria was her favourite Disney heroine, Esmerelda from the Hunchback of Notre Dame, my mom was Mary Poppins, and my dad was Darth Vader. 🙂
Woah! That looks like a big party. O.O Bet it was fun, though. 🙂
*wants to see a pic of Eria's costume* Did y'all make your costumes, or what? They're slightly awesome. 😉
OOH! That sounds AWESOME!!!!! *wants to see EVERYONE's costumes!!!*
That looks like an epic party! Did ya'll do that in your house?? That's so awesome. 🙂
Pardon my drooling over here.... Epic bash, by the look of things! 😀
@Berry: It was rather big, but, sadly, not everyone decided to dress up. Only Kristi and two other adults and five kids were in character so it was hard to act out the characters we were. We made the best of it, though. 🙂 As for costumes, I made/altered everything save the bodysuit and hair. My sister bought her pieces and painted the bodice. My mom did some alterations to her dress and hat.
@Cor: It was! 😀
@Shi: Yeah, that's our house. We took down everything today so it looks plain and rather empty. I miss it. 😛
@Ariel: Haha. Truly a fun time, especially when I had the chance to act like HL.
I have a picture of the other costumes in the costume thread.
Wow, that looks awesome! My sister and I did a movie themed party for our birthday this year, but your decorations are so much cooler!
This weekend our puppet team attended a convention/competition. For the competition part, you don't place, but you do get rated (gold, silver, bronze) and can win special awards. For our song presentation, we received a silver award, and a special award for creativity. For the creative ministries competition we did a puppet skit, and we received a gold award and a special award for originality. For the lip sync competition, our best two puppeteers placed first and second. It was a really exciting weekend!
Update on my Anna dress: I finished cutting out all the tiny pieces that go on the skirt panels. Finally I can start attaching those so I can finally sew the skirt together.
WHOOHOO, Engee!! 😀
EDIT: So yeah. You get to hear about my archery thing without me waiting for an answer because I'm too excited and I'll explode if I don't yell about it soon and... you get the idea...? 😉
Soooooo... random thing. 😛 On the way there, I saw Cor sitting on an electricity pole wire thing. 😉
Yeah, and when we got there... o.o I had no idea some of these people existed, and they all knew my name and a ton of stuff about me... 😛 (thanks to my awesome archer friend... 😆 )
So then we went out on the archery course, and it was AWESOME. 😀 And it was weird… I didn’t even know we had hilly/mountain things where I live… And they all said I did pretty good for my first 3-D shoot thing. 😛
Then on the actual shoot on Saturday, I went with a group of people to shoot. There were.. 2? 2 world champion shooters there with me. o.o That was awesome... and they were all SO nice! 😀 And on this one shot, it was straight down a rock ledge at a deer-shaped target. 😛 Not to mention... I kinda -- hehe -- missed the entire target 🙄 , buuuuuut... I kinda made up on the next shot, with an eleven. (With the 3-D course I was on, you just shot one arrow, scored it, went on to the next target, scored it, and so on 🙂 ) I only killed on arrow that trip!! It's now sitting in the garden looking reeeeeeally cool in all the flowers.
And then the shirts were so cool-looking that I kinda... got two of them.
Later, on the practice range, I was testing out this really cool bow that's kinda my earlyearly birthday present, and I had just finished shooting a round of arrows, and then this buzzy thing flies out of my skirt, and then my leg starts stinging, and then we see that it's a red wasp... 😯 Nasssssssssssssty little red wasp. 👿 Made our leg hurtses. Herumph. "DEATH TO IT. DEATH TO IT'S FAMILY.. DEATH TO... never mind. Just find me some ice, please..." is basically what I was thinking... 😆
And then... my instructor/archer/friend texted my mom a while ago and said I got first place on both rounds 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 😯 I think I might have made a hole in the ceiling... whoops. 😛
I totally wasn't expecting that.... 😀 But I'm so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I'm also using a ton of emoticons!!!! And talking too much!!!!! And... whatever. 😛 Now, excuse me while I go sing Thank Goodness a few million times and make cookies....
@Engee: Thanks! It was the product of weeks and weeks of work. 🙂
Congrats on the wins!! 😀 That sounds like a fun competition to be in.
@Nia: Exciting! So cool that you won first place!! ^.^
@Engee: congrats on the awards! Sounds like a lot of work (and fun).
@Nia: that sounds like a total blast! Sounds like so much fun, I wish I was there. And so cool that you placed first twice! 😀 good job!
