Phew. OK, so... my vacation. YOu wanted to hear about it. Buckle in and listen up 😛
Day 1 was on the road. We drove 14ish hours. Gypsy and I put a TLC flag on the back of our van with the hope to make it all the way to Canada with it on. We had to tape it at our last gas station of the day. We stopped at McDonalds for lunch... and got to our hotel at one. We also had a cool photoshoot in cloaks (thanks, Nia!!) and that was a lot of fun. We got to our hotel at 1am their time. We found out in the early evening that day that the place we were planning to stay in Canada wasn't going to work out after all, and again we didn't have a place to stay. That was kinda annoying, but we figured we'd figure something out once we got there. I mean, somebody's got to have a spare sofa SOMEWHERE, right? 😛
Day 2 was funny. We didn't find out about where we were staying, and the back seat got hysterical a lot. Gypsy and I put the middle seats in the van down in the Stow and Go and sat on the back row. We went through a ton of mountains, and saw some controlled blazes along the way. And Mom took the corners too fast and we ended up in each other's laps. And we giggled and I found out that every time this one song "Shhh, be Still" came onto the CD player, Gypsy would stop talking everytime it said Shhhh. And then I got a video of it because it was just SO hysterical XD And then we got to the border and they asked us a TON of annoying questions. And then after that we turned on "The Road Goes On" from the LotR musical REALLY loudly and sang and giggled and bounced. And then Gypsy and I started pretending to be a gif we saw that Ela had made of Baymax and whatshisface fistbumping and then making explosion noises. And we did that consistently for thirty minutes straight. No joke. All the way to the Wakefield's house. And we also boxed each other and hurt our hands doing hand games. It was just hysterical. And then every time we saw a Tim Horton's we did the fist bump thingy 😛 We got into the Wakefield's house at ten to find most of the prayer meeting attendees still there (including Lonnie and Emerald, the convention musicians, Eileen, the cook, and Marcia, the Jamaican awesome person). We got very welcomed and I felt uncharacteristaclly shy and hid in my cloak and Lonnie was wondering if I was cold. And then the pastor's wife, Sis. Wakefield, piped up and said "So the Pattersons got you a hotel!" And our family all exclaimed "NOOOO!" and then Dad justified our horror by saying "We can't let you do that!" and then they said not to argue because it was already paid for and took us over there. It turned out to be a really cool hotel. Gypsy and I had to share a room, but it was a private room so that was good. And then we pretty much just crashed.
Also, for the first two days whenever I stood on dry ground, it felt like the ground would rumble intermittently, like an earthquake. It was freaky.
*deep breath*
I'll leave you with that. Once you've read that, I'll tell you about convention!
Sounds like fun!
I don't think I would survive a road trip with you two. 😆
Awww, why not? 😛
Haha, you're too hyper. 😀
😛
You really wouldn't survive one with Aygee, then.
Life update from La Took
It's been awhile since I've done this.

So for those of you who don't know, I'm a Junior in college for Graphic Design, soon to be a Senior and that really scares me because then I need to actually look for a big girl job that doesn't involve scooping ice cream. This was my first year at the school I'm at now and I've really enjoyed it, even if it has meant that I've been spending way more time in RL than on TLC (Pro tip, this is a good thing, and while I hope that TLC helps you all to grow I hope you also understand that there will come a time in your life where you're going to have to severally cut back on it. I know. It's a long process)
I had been taking voice lessons all school year, but my teacher went to Africa with some other students, leaving me behind to practice by myself. But at least I have choir until tomorrow to tide me over. I auditioned for the advanced choir, but I'm still waiting to hear back.
Summer's coming up, which means lots of ice cream shop time
I've got a little garden started with some herbs in it. 🙂
@Jaygee: haha, I can't handle too much high-energy. 🙂
@Tooky: That's all really exciting! All the best to you in your endeavours!
Ooooh, Tooky started a garden! 😀 *happy dances* I hope your herbs grow admirably for you. 🙂
They might not need me but; they might.
I'll let my Head be just in sight;
A smile as small as mine might be
Precisely their necessity.

Ooh, what kind of herbs, Tooky?
Kind of early for me to start plotting out my college 😉 (Way early, actually; *isn't even near graduation* ) but if I do go to college, I think I wanna do something with art or graphic design or CGI 😀 And a job at an ice cream shop sounds really awesome.... 😛
Good luck to you and your garden, Tooky! 🙂 Whenever I try to grow stuff, it usually... dies. 😳 🙄
Well, I'm leaving on vacation very early tomorrow morning at an hour when no one should have to be awake! 😛 I won't be around for an entire week.
We'll miss you, Engee!
By the by, other things have quite taken up her time but Dilly gives her love to everyone. 🙂
@Tenny Cilantro (For salsa and guac) Mint (For tea and it smells good) Basil and oregano (For Italian food) and Dill (I put it in pretty much anything ranch or dip-ish)
@Nan Yeah, my stuff normally dies too, but I try and forget that every year and start over. This year we have a neighbor pitching in and I think she actually knows what she's doing so this might be the year my garden works 😀 Ok, it's worked before, but that's because I let my grandpa do a lot of the work cause I was little. Lately I had been doing it all with my Mom and our stuff would die and Grandpa would give us stuff from his garden.
